I'm corded into my PC for VR at a bit rate of 960mbps. that's the max bit rate to fight compression. connectivity seems more stable. the build quality is superior to the meta cable. I got the official cable back when i had my quest 2...and just assumed to keep using it since it was so expensive. battery has not dipped below 100% while playing VR at 2720x2912 per eye resolution. i'm super sampling ABOVE that with the pixel density over ride @ 1.6 for fallout 4 vr. i'm very happy. follow the instructions for set up. ... show more

I bought this one as a replacement for first cable I purchased. I think having the charge function built into the cable is ESSENTIAL! I use my Quest 3 for Sim Racing and for long stints, I need the battery to last. The only thing I didn't like... First, I'd like it to be faster. When I test the cable, it's 2.7Gbps, I think it should be faster. Also, I've found that it can be a little finicky with the connection and my Meta Quest will flicker black. ... show more

Whatever Meta did with the last update causes me severe drops from connection with steam VR, so I thought I'd try a link cable. Well it worked for me! At least for the games I mean to sit down when I play. It needs some help though for PCVR - so before you freak out, Meta Horizon App, and Virtual Desktop - use virtual desktop to run your VR games through steam. What Was a ok link cable for about 2/12 months with absolutely no kinking of the wire and suspended overhead has devolved into a glorified gen 2 usb-A/C fast charger, disappointed but not surprised for the cost, just buy an actual Fiber Optic cable instead, it will only last you long enough to cover the company’s 30 day replacement window, and if you buy it here you will need to include screenshots/ video of cable misbehaving(kinda difficult because of the previously mentioned signal/misread issues if its gunna be your only link) and your order number. Regarding length the location of the additional power supply in C slot is approximately 1 1/2 feet from one end so if you buy it i hope you have a decent length fast charger powering it because my 2 foot 40gbps LTT 240w charger does almost nothing to fight SideQuest unlocked feature battery drain and as the quality of the core wire is poor data speeds, Connectivity/ compatibility gen misreads, and signal cycling sounds are sure to become a familiar occurrence with this cable. Even at best this product is mediocre at worst its predatory for those new to PCVR looking to save some money. Seriously spend this money elsewhere or go buy a TrueSpec Cable from LTT store(wont be as long but quality is far superior). As a newbie to VR i made this mistake so you do not have to. ... show more

So First Off I’ve been using the Meta Official Cable for About 5 Years and the cabel recently broke it will disconnect if you slightly wiggle it so I looked up Numerous YouTube Reviews and Amazon Reviews on different Cables because I did not want to spend 70$ on a Simple Cable. So after my research I stumbled apon this Cable and Wow The Cable is Thicker than Meta’s, it feels more sturdier when I plug in my Quest 3, and the Charging Function Seems to Actually Charge my Quest Better than Meta’s!! With Meta’s Cable it would Stay On the Battery had it at when I plugged it in or it would go down 2% which is not bad at all but this cable actually seemed to charge it as I play. I’m going to be using this cable until it breaks so let’s see how long it lasts also the Speed Seems to Vary from 2.6GBPS-2.9GBPS Using the USB3.0 to USB C While Meta’s Was Always a Steady 2.6 I also did a test with just the USB3.0 using the USB 3.2 GEN 2 Port which is the 1 Only Fastest USB A Port on My PC Aside from the USB C Ran only at a steady 2.6 GBPS No matter how many times I tested it. Solid cable! Not too heavy when moving around, and long enough to accommodate for most activities. Latency is low- it's comparably fast to the $80 Quest Link cable. Overall, it works like it should, which is all you really need from a cable like this. Do note, however: if the charging cable is plugged into the cable's battery pack while it's being used, you'll infrequently be interrupted by a "debris/liquid in the charging port" error. According to the Quest forums, the battery pack sometimes causes the headset to think there's a short circuit, and there's no way to disable the warning in the settings. Fortunately, the fix is easy. Just unplug the charging cable from the battery pack, and you won't be interrupted by the error. Not the most convenient thing in the world, but hey, no fault to the cable itself. ... show more
