Louisville Ladder FH1008 8 ft. FG Shelf Ladder, Type IA, 300 lb. From the Manufacturer This 20-foot Louisville extension ladder has a load capacity of 300 pounds. It is great for working on light construction and residential Jobs. It features D shaped rungs that are fully serrated for a slip resistant surface. It has mar-resistant rail end caps to protect landing surfaces and provide longer life. Louisville extension ladders include two extra heavy duty slide guides at the top of the base section combined with a stop on the fly section to prevent over extending the ladder. The heavy duty plated steel shoe with thick rubber treads makes this ladder safe and easy to use. It is one of many extension ladders in the Louisville line up.

I have to agree with the other reviewers who gave this 5 stars. It is reasonably light, yet strong, especially considering its 28 ft. length. It is also relatively inexpensive. I got it because it is a bit lighter than some of the other ladders. I'm only 160 lbs and rarely need this much height. It easily reaches the gutters on the high side of my house and at around 23 ft. is very stable with only nominal flexing. I felt safe at this height. I can handle the ladder by myself, but would feel better having an assistant. After moving it several times it does start to get heavy. There was one tiny niggle with it. The spring on one of the floating latches had come off, so it had to be snapped back in place. This may have happened when ripping the protective cover off, or not. Regardless it was a simple fix. Delivery was to the door, which saved a lot of trouble and for me was an added bonus. Overall this is a good buy. ... show more

Great ladder. Wondered how Amazon would deliver a 28ft ladder - with a contract freight truck. It is heavier than I expected (being aluminum) but much lighter than its fiberglass cousin. Well constructed. I also purchased the Louisville Levelok Ladder Leveler Kit. Only problem is that a couple of rungs are damaged (picture) but didn't notice until I drilled the holes to mount the leveler kit. They're still sturdy and usable, but would have returned for the price I paid if I'd noted it earlier. ... show more

We’ve been looking for a nice 32ft ladder for a while, but don’t have the proper vehicle to carry one. Plus, shipping costs from other stores were almost half the cost of the actual ladder! One day I was bored, and searched 32 foot ladder on Amazon. I was in for a shock. Not only did they have them, but the shipping wars FREE (with prime). I almost couldn’t believe it, I had to laugh and show my husband. He laughed too, but then told me to order it. So I did! We could schedule the time it came and everything, the delivery truck even had a GPS on it so I could watch it drive towards us on Amazon. Technology is crazy! Ladder was 300 lb rated later it was fine except brackets that control extension of ladder are made of plastic, if they break I’m sure to fall and get hurt, I will eventually have to make new ones out of aluminum, makes me think less of product and wish I wouldn’t of purchased it

Pros: >Can be moved, placed, extended by a single person. >It's light enough that you don't necessarily need to use a wall to assist in the initial raise. I was able to raise it to vertical on flat ground. (30's male doing it by myself). >It's also pretty easy to move it while vertical or near vertical. This helped as some of the areas on the side of my house cannot allow a flat ladder to be raised from there but will allow a vertical ladder to be moved into it. >Sturdy (but I also like to hang a floating weight from the middle rung down to 1 inch off the ground to keep it extra stabilized) >easily stores in a single car garage >The feet grip in dirt just fine. Cons: > You will want to buy a rubber end cap I think the 28 ft. is perfect for anyone with a 2 story house, needs to reach the roof, but doesn't need to climb onto the roof. ... show more
