This Louisville Ladder 20 feet fiberglass extension ladder has a 300 lbs. load capacity, rated ANSI IA Type. This extension ladder is great for working on electrical, utility, light construction and residential jobs. It features D shaped rungs that are fully serrated for a slip resistant surface. Includes two extra heavy-duty slide guides to prevent over extending the extension ladder. Equipped with the MAXLOCK rung lock, engineered to be the strongest, toughest, lightest rung lock ever made for extension ladders. This extension ladder also includes the patented QuickLatch system that provides a simple, intuitive method of securing the ladder when extended. Features “V” shaped ProTop that allows to lean the extension ladder into corners, walls and poles, while protecting surfaces with its integrated bumper.     • Why don't other ladders have this ingenious top?
I have been throwing and working on extension ladders as part of my job for over 30 years now and am very comfortable around them. With that said, where has this ladder been all my life? When I saw the work top on this thing my first thought was it was a gimmick that didn't work out simply because I have never seen one like this on a job site. I bought this one for personal use around my house and barn so when I saw the work top, I though why not and gave it a try. Today I used it to clean out the gutters on my 2 story old farmhouse fully extending it to it's 28' max. and was shocked at how much more stable it felt at the top. The wide work top with a rubber surface made it feel like it couldn't slide on my aluminum siding. A regular extension ladder can get a bit slippery at the top when fully extended because of the plastic end caps and small points of contact. I also like the "V" notch in the center that can be used on the corner of a building or on a pole. I have used extension ladders to climb poles to repair lights or install service risers for decades now and the first climb up to tie it off is always a bit of a harrowing experience. You haven't experienced a near heart stopping experience until you have an extension ladder start to roll around a pole! This looks like it will take a lot of the risk out of that job. It's easy to use and very sturdy. I also use a stabilizer but was unable to one one section of the wall due to the corner of the house and a window. It was as sturdy as it was with the stabilizer. I love the notch in the top to lean onto the corner of the house. My only fuss is that it is really heavy and long and that makes it a tad difficult for me to do all alone. ... show more

I like the ladder fine. For the size, it's not heavier than you'd expect. It seems sturdy enough. Everything works. The only problem I have is that it was delivered by truck (for free). Part of it was wrapped in plastic. When I removed plastic a couple days later, the rung behind it was bent, badly. It was also missing one of the plastic interlocks on one side. I put in for a replacement, and Amazon shipped another one out at no charge. The second one was fine. Check it over when it's delivered. (Made in Mexico, unfortunately.) ... show more

Ladder arrived quickly and in great shape. Nothing like front door delivery for a 28 foot ladder. The pro top is great because my house has a lot of angles and windows. The ladder is very sturdy. The only drawback is that it is heavy and hard to maneuver. However, I expected that given its size. Had this delivered to my door for the same price as the big box stores. Great value. ... show more

Great ladder am glad I bought it. It has a wide top that has rubber bumpers that prevent sliding sideways and protects the siding. Great tool caddy at top. Very sturdy. By far the best ladder I’ve ever been on. Is heavy and slight difficult to get in to position. But if you lower the ladder to lowest position before you move it it makes it much easier to navigate. ... show more

I was hesitant to purchase this ladder because some of the reviews mentioned damage to the ladder and its packaging, but I have usually been satisfied with Amazon so I purchased it. Unfortunately I received a ladder that was not even packaged and looks like it’s been used and returned multiple times. If you look closely, the first two pictures show multiple shipping labels along the ladder. The third picture shows a shipping label that has faded away and the fourth picture shows a blank label over a previous shipping label. The last picture shows the feature of the ladder that I liked the most, but it shows the ladder has been used before. There are other scrapes along the ladder. Amazon charged me a premium price for a used ladder. If I wanted a used ladder, I would have shopped at yard sales. ... show more
