These blinds are nearly perfect, but I have to dock 1 star for cutting corners with stability and the dated and useless instructions. I have attached updated instructions downloaded from their website. The blinds are high quality, look like faux wood, and can be cleaned with a Mr. Clean magic eraser, they fit our door over windows perfectly and look like high end blinds. They don’t require you to pull out and maneuver to retract you just lift and they retract automatically, no power and not much force required to get them down. They block out most light and creepers outside can’t see inside so the privacy features work as intended. They were mostly easy to install however the instructions don’t warn you that you will need to drill pre holes for the screws. You’ll need a 1/8 drill bit for the 1 1/4” long screws(4) and a 7/64 drill bit for the 3/4” short screws(4) for the blinds holders. Be sure you measure them with the brackets on and mark the sides and bottom edges of the brackets and also the holes with a pencil. So you’ll need another human and I would use a laser level or liquid level to make sure you’re center because if you screw up it’s not super simple to fix and you don’t want to end up with a bunch of holes which will decrease your anchor integrity. If installing in dry wall they should have included anchors for the screws. They also should have included extra four 1 1/4” screws. 4 for each bracket instead of only 2 diagonally installed, these will fail over time being only two screws and no anchors. Its inevitable in dry wall. Especially, in dry wall. I have included the updated newer instructions downloaded from their website url in a downloadable pdf from the FTX model(exactly the same) I can’t attach a pdf so it’s 2 images. Hope this helps, they do look great, though, if you are holding the 2 screws and wonder how the heck to install them you’ll place 1 in the top right hole and 1 in the bottom left hole of the left bracket and 1 in the top left hole and 1 in the bottom right hole of the right bracket. TLDR; 1. Place brackets on blinds and measure with brackets on so you’ll have the correct placement for the bracket install without the blinds attached. 2. Mark brackets sides bottoms and holes with pencil. 3. Pre drill holes with 1/8 bit for your 1 1/4” long screws. Top right/bottom left hole - left bracket, top left/bottom right hole - right bracket. 4. Install blinds, clamp brackets, ‘click’, ‘click’. 5. Extend blinds to the max length you want. 6. Measure blind holders. Mark sides and holes with pencil. 7. Pre drill 7/64 drill bit for 3/4” short screws. 8. Install blind holders. 9. Install crown molding cover clips, ‘click’, ‘click’ and cover, ‘click’, ‘click’, wide section faces up, ridges face bottom. 10. Install blinds pole handle, ‘click’. 11😎

These are great blinds and well-made. I bought three to replace older pull-string blinds. The included instructions and measurements were accurate. Installation took less than 10 minutes per blind. The slats are not as thick as a more expensive brand I replaced, but they are durable. The quality is good, easy to operate, and the bright white color is spot-on. They provide good light blocking and privacy, but aren't room darkening. The decorative top piece and side caps add a nice, crown molding look. Considering the quality, durability, look, ease of installation, and use, these blinds are a great value.
