  • CORDLESS DESIGN: The new child safe cordless design eliminates the need for cords and makes raising and lowering the blind a breeze. This blind features cordless operation, a lift system that allows you to raise or lower it with just a touch.
  • WIDTH & LENGTH: For the width measure your window horizontally in three places from outside edge to edge of the window frame: top, middle, and bottom. Record the narrowest measurement. For best fit, find the size with a width closest to your measurement. The size you order will come with a 1/2-inch deduction to ensure it fits in your windowsill properly. The height will be the longest measurement from top to bottom and will be the size to order.
  • INSIDE & OUTSIDE MOUNT: This blind can be mounted inside and outside of a window frame. Inside mount means completely installing the blind inside the window frame. The window frame needs to be at least 2 inches deep to install as a partial inside mount. For an outside mount add at least 1/2-inch or more to your measurement to ensure coverage of the desired area. A blind longer than your recorded measurement will work as the blind can be stopped at any position within the window frame.

I was replacing a really old set...I mean a blinds set that was installed probably back in 2000, so about 20 years old. They've really improved these units since then. This one fit perfectly in the brackets installed for the old set so installation was a snap. If you have to install this unit fresh, you'll need to drive screws for the brackets into the side of the window area but it's not too bad; once you're done with that the blinds slip right into the bracket. My understanding is that another way these blinds have improved over the years is in their ability to resist fading. The old set started out white but faded into an ugly stale beige. They also got brittle. These newer ones are supposed to be longer lasting. I guess time will tell. Finally, the newer blind technology is cordless, meaning that the long strings that used to hang down from the blinds so you could pull them up have been replaced with an integrated suspension system. Now you just pull down or lift up the bottom of the blind to adjust the height. I don't actually know if this is better or worse than before; it looks nicer without cords hanging down, and some say it is safer for pets and kids, but some others have complained about the poor reliability of this mechanism. Time will tell. For now, I'm happy these blinds were reasonably priced and seem to be working. ... show more

We have been looking for beautiful blinds for every room in our home and didn't want to waste money for a professional installer to do it for us. I found these blinds on Amazon and I can't speak highly enough of them. We have them in our bedroom, living room, dining room and bathroom. Incredibly easy to install. I have them in my daughter's bedroom on the window frame and we still had enough clearance space to hand curtains over the blinds with a curtain rod. Luckily, the destroyed box did not affect the contents. My hubby got the thing up & mounted in just a few minutes. The product is attractive and does a superior job of insulating - keeping the heat out/ cool in. Much better than the thin 1" slats I had before. The thicker slats also do a better job of blocking out the light, which is important, here in the desert. Definitely worth the investment! ... show more

Blinds went up easily, looks nice. The faux wood look is smooth, doesn't look like grain wood blinds. We ordered white and the box said white, but the blinds look like the alabaster ones. We'd already installed them and decided not to bother with the return, but they are definitely not white.
