  • Terrific Upgrade For RV and Still Ticking After 17 Months of Solid Use in a Range of Climates
Style: 12V200AH
Bought one in April 2022 and here's what I like most about the Lossigy LiFePO4 200ah battery: 1. Increased the electrical storage capacity on our RV by over 400%.* 2. 20% lighter than the 50ah wet cell bank it replaced.** 3. Fit perfectly in the battery box that formerly contained 2ea. 6V wet cells wired in series. 4. No problem with operation in temperatures down to 27F.*** 6. Still reliable and showing no signs of deterioration after 14 months of heavy usage. 7. Prompt and helpful responses from seller whenever I've had a question. NOTES: *The battery continues to put out 12 volts or more even when remaining capacity falls below 15% (as measured by RV's coulometer). My 50ah wet cell bank, by comparison, would often drop below 12V when remaining capacity hit 30%. Useable capacity of the 50ah wet cell bank was therefore about 35ah while usable capacity of the Lossigy LiFePO4 is 170ah or more. **Combined weight of the 50ah lead-acid battery bank that was replaced was over 60 lbs, or about 1.2 lbs per rated amp-hour. The Lossigy LiFePO4 200ah battery, by comparison, weighs in at only 48lbs. This equates to about 0.24 lbs per rated amp-hour - effectively less than 1/5th the weight per ah of the wet cell bank. ***We've camped in winter conditions and watched anxiously as temperatures on the surface of the battery hit 27F (as measured by remote sensor). The Lossigy battery never so much as hiccupped (though wouldn't want to push it much lower than that). NOTE: Worth considering with an RV trailer is the fact that standard tow vehicles rarely come equipped with a tow-battery charging system capable of putting out greater than 8 amps. This means 10 hours of driving might put 80 amp-hours back into your trailer's 200ah battery. The solution is a DC-to-DC charger that can bump the charging current up to 20 amps or more (I installed a model made by Renogy, but there are others). Also, a fairly robust solar charging system (mine is combination of Dokio arrays and MPPT charge controllers rated at 460 watts total) can keep you off the grid almost indefinitely without relying on a noisy generator. UPDATE: Questions show up on Amazon from time to time regarding low temperature protections for LiFePO4 batteries. I think the only way to safely use these batteries when ambient temperatures are substantially below freezing is to provide some source of heat, such as rechargeable heat packs placed around the battery (see Dnaleao hand warmers, for example). Also, insulating the battery box somewhat (I've added foam packing material under and on the sides of my battery) helps. Last year when I submitted this question to Junson Bty (seller of Lossigy LiFePO4 batteries on Amazon), they answered: "When the battery is charged at an air temperature lower than 32 ° F, the lithium ion activity inside the battery decreases, which will lead to the decrease of charging efficiency with the decrease of temperature (this situation is similar to some animals entering hibernation in winter), but this will not cause damage to the battery. It is recommended not to charge at low temperature for a long time." ... show more

  • UPDATE: Was great...Now not so great...now great again!
Style: 12V200AH
UPDATE 12/16/2022 After jumping through some hoops I received a replacement battery from Lossigy. I understand that maybe there was something lost in the translation but having to repeat the same processes of testing I had already done to prove the battery was defective was annoying and ultimately cost the manufacturer money and me time. That said they probably do this to weed out the con artists and those who aren't familiar with this type of battery. Ok back to the update. The battery arrived and I put it on the charger. It took a full charge in about 3 hours time using a 40A charger so it was probably right around a 50% charge when it arrived. I reinstalled it where the old one was and this morning it still had a good SOC. I think I may have had a defective battery from the start with the first one but didn't notice it until the capacity dropped a little so over the weekend I may run a capacity test on the battery just for giggles but it seems to be fine. I have changed my rating from 1 star to 4 as Lossigy was true to their word and replaced the battery. If its still working in another 1.5 years I will change it to a 5 . Bang for the buck this is still a very nice battery if it lasts. **I should add Lossigy included a return label and today I will send the old battery back for testing. Doubt I'll ever hear why it failed but I'd love to know. Purchased this item in August of 2021 mainly due to the price of the item vs capacity. Since the battery would be in in an climate controlled space I didn't need to worry about low temp cutoff etc. From the get go the battery performed great! We use this battery to power a few DC LED floodlights from dusk to dawn every day using a Victron charge controller and solar. Until last month it performed FLAWLESSLY and was probably oversized for what its doing since it never really dropped below 85% SOC. Fast forward to the last few weeks we noticed that in the mornings the lights were not on. Checking the voltage it was at 10.3 volts. Our first reaction was to see if it was charging and sure enough within a few hours it was back at 14.2 and settled at around 13.5v. The next morning dead again. We then decided to charge the item using a noco 10 amp charger and let the charger charge the item for almost two days (although it went into float mode after about 2 hours) reinstalled the battery and the next morning....Darkness. Thinking we might have some crazy battery drain in this very simple system we installed another 12V 100AH weize lifepo4 battery and let it work in our system for a few days and the lights were always on with a soc in the 70% range in the morning. Crazy right? Half the AH and still running strong. So for the second time we charged the Lossigy battery using a 10A noco charger until it was full. We then added a Victron shunt to monitor the battery just to see if there was something funning going on. The next morning lights were out and the battery was in the 10V range again but the shunt displayed under 30AH removed. Its the dang battery. At this time I reached out to the seller and told them everything I have prior to this sentence. Everything I have done. The response was pretty much a SOC voltage chart. Now being someone that powers and entire shop from solar/inverters/lifepo4 batteries I am pretty versed in this stuff so I really didn't need a chart to tell me the battery was dead. Now they want to ship me a 10A battery charger and test it again which led to this review. I have agreed to let them ship me their "special" charger if it speeds up the process but I already know the result because I have done it twice. Sadly it just seems like they are trying to drag it out. I get that some do not understand batteries, charging, etc however I laid out clearly what I have already done. At this time I cannot recommend this battery due to its short service life. A year and a half is not acceptable as the lead acids we used prior lasted over 7 years at half the cost. If the seller makes it right and either refunds the $650 paid or sends me a working battery I will update this review. Until then, remember the old saying that if its too good to be true, it probably is. ... show more

  • Works great for micro solar setup!
Style: 12V20AH
Running two of these in parallel for a 12V 40Ah setup charging off of 200w of solar to power a kid's cabin. They do perfectly to power the LED lights and exhaust fan overnight. That said, I'd need twice as much battery and twice as much panel just to run a six can pelter cooler mini fridge 24/7 during the winter with a relatively minor 50Wh draw. So be realistic about your needs! Currently running cool but the exhaust fan is ducted behind the controller and batteries. I wouldn't leave these on the top shelf in an enclosed shed on a hot day. They look as good as an SLA to me. ... show more

  • Good value
Style: 12V100AH
Communication from the seller was very good. I have purchased 2 of these in a span of 3 weeks, it was on sale after the first purchase so couldn't resist adding the extra Amp Hours. Both shipments were delayed, which I expect when batteries are shipped, but received an email from the seller informing me of such in advance. They were also very quick to respond that the battery was delivered and if I had issues or concerns to contact them through Amazon messaging. This is probably AI at work but nice to see a company putting communication with the customer a priority. I haven't installed the system yet but plan to in the near future. From the component side of the solar main parts, I find the battery to have a very aesthetic coloring, which is irrelevant in operation, but nice when considering the design. Edited 11/19/23 - Included picture of solar build - works as intended. Will update when mounted and panels hooked up ... show more
