  • What a Whacky world we live in

Listen, it’s not a 10/10 game we all know this. Game Mill has a pretty terrible reputation in our gaming community and is known for cutting a lot of corners, I got this game on sale for $29.99 and I have to say at that price point you get a lot of bang for your buck. 4 different sports that all play very well and you can unlock different arenas, powerups and so forth. They even have a mode similar to Mario kart where it’s not just about winning the sport but how you do individually as well. No graphical hiccups or bugs on my end, the whole family is truly enjoying this so I’ll give GameMill a passing grade with this one, Turn your brain off and play some Golf, Soccer, basketball or Tennis (golf happens to be my favorite) it even has an announcer. For the product it is and at the price point of less than the price it came out for of $50 (that’s too much) definitely get it you’ll get some enjoyment out of this easily. Hope this helps ... show more

  • Buy it Cheap because it's a cheap product.

I purchased this game digitally, which is why I’m not listed as a verified purchaser. Remember the ’90s, when Michael Jordan and Space Jam were everywhere? Unfortunately, this game doesn’t quite “fly like an eagle.” This is pure shovel ware published by GameMill Entertainment a studio well known for producing some of the worst games on the market. Don’t believe me? Go look at the reviews for Skull Island: Rise of Kong (2023). GameMill has a long history of taking well-known IPs, pushing out low-quality games, and selling them solely on name recognition. Maybe with the newer Netflix–Warner situation, Netflix will start guarding its IPs more carefully. Tennis and golf are really the only sports worth buying this for. The tennis mode reminds me of Virtual Tennis on the OLED there isn’t much depth, but it does play well. It’s extremely simple, and young kids will enjoy that simplicity. To be fair, it works fine—it’s just basic. I’ve read reviews claiming the basketball controls are “confusing.” They aren’t confusing they’re unresponsive. You’ll know exactly which buttons to press; the problem is that the game takes too long to process your inputs. It doesn’t deliver fast, arcade-style action. It feels like playing an early Flash game where everything lags while the game “thinks” in the background. Basketball is only 2-on-2, so it could have been quick, fun chaos—but it isn’t. If you’re buying this expecting anything like Space Jam or NBA Playgrounds, it’s not even close. What’s more frustrating is that NBA arcade games existed 25–30 years ago, and this still can’t match that level of fun. Soccer isn’t broken, but it feels unnecessarily difficult. The goalies are absolute walls. If you enjoy a challenge, you might like it, but it doesn’t play fast or fluid like Mario Strikers. The golf mode, however, is the most well-thought-out game in the entire package and easily the highlight. What’s really disappointing is the roster. The deluxe version includes Yosemite Sam—why isn’t he in the base roster to begin with? The game is also missing major characters like Marvin the Martian, Foghorn Leghorn, Pepe Le Pew, and Gossamer. The announcer could’ve sounded like Michigan J. Frog. If you wanted to add an oddball character, why not Angus MacRory, who literally has his own golf episode? Or offer DLC with characters like Witch Hazel, the Space Jam monster, or Sam Sheepdog. This game was clearly designed for families, and I’ll give it credit for including 4-player couch co-op. That said, GameMill Entertainment is unlikely to ever patch or improve it. They will continue pushing out shovelware, taking good ideas, and killing them just to make a quick dollar. ... show more

  • Light, but still fun
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5
I feel this is better than its reputation if you’re playing with kids. Bright visuals, familiar characters, and simple mini-games make it easy to pick up and have a bit of quick fun. The controls are basic the whole thing is super light, but imo it's fine for a quick family pick.

  • It’s No Space Jam
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5
Basic sports collection with Loony Toons Characters There's basketball, Golf, Tennis, and Soccer. All sports can toggle off/on hazards. Local play only, no online 9 characters, no unlockable from what I’m aware of. Each character has their own speed, strength, and intelligence stats. Aside from Road Runner and Taz, everyone else plays the same in my opinion Basketball is no Space Jam. Its full court 2v2, shooting requires no aim (automatic score) unless you’re way over the 3 point line, or someone jumps in front of the ball. Game is more about positioning Golf. Most skill out of all the other sports. There are some hidden boosters throughout each course that helps you gain more yards with less swings Tennis. Basic version of Mario tennis. Best way to gain points is to hit the opponent with the ball. Everyone has the same super move, but different animation. Super meter is gained by hitting the ball Soccer. Worst in the bunch. Its no Super Mario Strikers. 4v4. More luck based than the rest as scoring is souly depending on RNG of the goal keeper 3 major modes: Ultimate Cup, Sports Mode, Challenges: Ultimate Cup is basically 4+ random sports matches in a row with cpu Sports Mode: play sports matches a le carte Challenges: it is what is sounds like. Helps you get better at each sport with objective based missons Overall very basic sports compilation. ... show more
