I travel light internationally with a small dog and a carry-on. I have tried various combinations over the years and this carrier is the best I’ve found to -meet the size requirement to fit under a seat. (The size requirements seem to keep getting smaller). -stay upright (unlike other combinations of carrier and carry-on that I have tried, this carrier doesn’t tip, is stable with the carry-on slid over the handle). It’s a great combination for packing light. It is easy to remove the (light weight but sturdy) wheel unit from the carrier and place in the overhead bin. Unlike the other small carriers I have used this entire unit is just narrow enough to wheel down an airplane or train aisle.
