I’m going to start at the beginning. Two toddler boys, a freshly cut lawn, and a devastating water balloon war resulted in four little feet covered in grass clipping. My boyfriend took the initiative to rinse these adorable though filthy feet in our shower. As our bathtub drain does not have a garbage disposal installed, it clogged. You have to take time when using. Go slow when pulling out of your drains. I thought I would got a lot more out of my drains but my house is not too old. I really don’t think I’ll ever use the stainless steel auger. It doesn’t fit in my kitchen sink. I was going to sterilize the one I used but noticed it was cracked on one of the sections. We have a trap but whenever it fills with hair and doesn’t drain well, some people just take out the trap and leave it on the side rather than cleaning it out and replacing it The tub drain eventually starts backing up and pooling scum so needed to snake it. I’ve used the conventional plumber ones but saw this on Amazon. For the price and construct I was a little hesitant to how well it would do the job but all it took was maybe 30 seconds to unplug the bathtub drain It inserts easily until you meet resistance, then I just slowly withdraw the barbed plastic “snake” along with the mass of hair.
