I was really excited to get this machine but very disappointed in it when it arrived. I am not an expert with laser machines but I own 2 other diode lasers and a fiber laser and use Lightburn Software with them all. Every time I connected the machine to Lightburn it would send an alarm. I would have to go into the touchscreen and unlock the alarm. When trying to home the laser head would travel to the right even though I have it set as the lower left for home. It would travel to the right, change direction when it hit the limit to the right, travel about half way back to the left and then error out because it did not hit the limit switch. I tried engraving an image of a leaf. It would not make the y axis moves correctly and basically squish the leaf almost into a vertical line. I am not sure if the machine is defective (instructions are of little value) but after many hours of troubleshooting I am done with it. If this was a $200 machine I could understand having to invest more time into it but for a $700 machine that says it works with Lightburn, I am not fixing all the manufacturers issues for them. For $700 I expect to assemble, minor config with software and be up and running. The instructions reference a focusing tool that appears to slide in place from inside the laser housing. I am not sure what they are talking about as my machine does not have this. It did not come with any tools for focusing. I am returning the machine.

Good product, laser burn is a must have program to go along with this, which is currently ninety nine dollars. I like the screen on the control unit. But unfortunately, mine only showed the logo after a few days. Return policy is great. I did return my unit and ordered a new one. Customer service is hard to get a hold of but they do have an ai chat that works pretty well.

Impressive machine, I ordered the laser engraver the longer rotary machine 2 17 inch honey comb cutting boards the air pump (make sure you order the pump that plugs directly to the engraver it’s expensive but software control so worth) and the Y axis extension kit. It was actually fun to put together. I had an issue increasing the work area with the software, but after emailing the company the send me new firmware and program to flash the right away and had my issue fixed right away. And alright completely multiple projects with it, happy with the purchase. I post it a short video in the bottom corner you can see a small circle that was cut without the air pump and you can see how much cleaner everything else looks with the pump on.

Started out with a tay5 10w. Used it for a year then upgraded to this. It is continue power. It’s also a lot louder as the laser head unit has a powerful cooling fan that is very loud. I also added the air assist. $ well spent as it reduces the burn area.

Here's what you are in for: The instructions will likely not match up with your machine. Updating the firmware for your laser and the screen will likely be a major headache. They'll point you to the wrong files, or drivers that are 15 years old, when there's newer files available. Links to the files often do not work. I had to heavily rely on AI (Grok) to fill in the gaps. I have 4 years education in electronics, worked on equipment in the military for many years, over 20 years as an engineer in computers after the service. If this is a pain for me, it'll be a double nightmare for anyone with no technical experience. Their firmware flashing utility is extremely buggy (there's 2 - a web utility and MKS installable utility). Neither will work right away, even with power cycles and reboots. They will tell you to just keep trying to flash the firmware, over and over. You can hit the start button repeatedly over the course of several hours, without changing anything, and magically it will suddenly work. If you buy upgrades, like I did, the instructions will not match up if you have the newest control board. I bought the limit switch upgrade, more flashing issues, wrong cable sent. 2 days of playing around until it started working. I then bought the 30W laser upgrade. Guess what? Another day wasted trying to flash. They forgot to include the spacer for the limit switch placement, gave me another wrong control cable, forgot to include zip ties and the power cord. The spacing for the 30W laser is incorrect in the instructions, the laser head will hit the frame before the limit switch is reached. Each time, you are waiting for something to come from China, and it takes a while. As you wait, your machine is sitting there worthless. If you are trying to make money, you aren't making anything while waiting a week +. Support is reachable, but limited. You can talk to them during the day - and they are nice people, English is good, but they have to talk to China for anything beyond their skill. That means each issue is going to take at least 1 day, more days if they misunderstand what your issue is. They're coming out with a lot of upgrades, but the main issue is poorly written instructions, and flashing problems. As much as I enjoy the machine when it works, I truly regret this purchase and hopefully will dissuade someone else from making the same mistake.
