We have a Longer 20 watt laser and wanted to try to etch some glass. This rotary roller connects to your Longer laser and the rotation replaces an axis. You do need to disconnect and connect wires from the main laser frame to the rotary roller. Like all laser work, it takes some practice but if you follow the instructions and watch available videos good things happen. Note that when etching clear glass with an led laser you need to cover the area with washable paint. There are some specific settings in the laser software for a rotary set up and they are required. Again, follow the instructions. This rotary roller also comes with a support for glass stems and that is needed for a wine glass. I admit that I burned one of the rollers with the laser by not setting things up correctly at first. Its a great product that is well made.

This rotary roller offers serious flexibility for laser engraving curved objects. With full 360° rotation and an adjustable diameter range from about 6 mm up to 200 mm, it accommodates everything from thin mugs and bottles to larger tumblers and pipes. It’s designed to handle a wide variety of rotary engraving tasks without needing separate fixtures, so you can swap workpieces quickly and keep the creative flow going. Build quality feels sturdy. The steel components and anti-slip rubber shaft provide good grip and stability, and the dual-scale/groove design helps align items so engraving stays parallel. The “plug-and-play” feature is helpful — you won’t need elaborate setup or modifications in many cases. The inclusion of two wiring options increases compatibility with many popular engraver models, further minimizing headaches during setup. But it’s not perfect. Very thick or heavy cylindrical items might push the roller toward its limits — you might see slight wobble or alignment issues at the far ends of its adjustment range. Also, depending on your laser machine’s power and precision, fine details near the edges of a large diameter object may suffer from slight distortion or focus drop-off. Finally, while the accessory is durable, maintenance (cleaning, ensuring smooth rotation, keeping the rubber grip in good shape) will matter a lot for long-term performance. Overall though, this rotary roller is a solid upgrade if you are doing regular cylindrical engraving and want one tool that handles many sizes well.
