I bought this coat to wear at the school bus stop with my grandson. I read the reviews before I bought it and there are a few criticisms that are valid but definitely not deal breakers. The fur around the collar is wonderful! You have to sew it in place because the buttons holding it come undone but it’s an easy fix. I use the snaps in the front not the zipper, because of the way the coat is designed; it is still very airtight and it is easily put on or taken off. This coat makes every single day more warm and more fun. This is a serious winter coat but can be adjusted for variations in weather. Love this coat! I originally ordered the 2x (wear 16 - 18) but like some room, especially over thick clothes. I had to exchange for a 1x. The 1x fits perfectly. This is a really nice coat, warm but lightweight. Good length and zipper pockets, removable hood and fur collar. Not too puffy and compacts nicely for such a large coat. I took off 1 star because it does not have an inner pocket, does not have a 2 way zipper, the waist does not have an adjustment, and no back split. Scouring online and in stores has been a nightmare if you’re plus size (16), tall (5’11), busty (42DDD), and younger (35). They just don’t have anything!!! And I wasn’t willing to spend $200 & above. I took a chance because of free returns. Since 1x and 2x can have different meanings to companies attempting to accommodate us bigger women, I can be either. I’m pretty muscular but weigh 230 lbs. I’m glad I ordered the 1x: this coat is a little bigger than I expected and I prefer that over being just good enough to zip. I got the 1x. As you can see from the photo, it is LONG. It goes to right above my knees and I love that. If you are pretty short like 5’4” or less, you probably will not like it. I can wear a hoodie and zip comfortably. I love the pockets for those are a must have IMO for gloves and hats. London Fog is a great brand, so I’m happy to have a “designer” coat rather than take a risk on a name I’ve never heard of. I love Amazon prime and the reviews that guide me. The coat feels warm, but I have not worn it outside in cold weather (can update when I do). The 1x was $79 while the 2x was $160, so I’m thankful this 1x fits! If it didn’t, I wasn’t gonna spring the $160 fit I was trying to stay under $100 (yes very difficult for a name brand). ... show more

I have to say that this is one of the warmest coats I've ever owned but it's still super lightweight at the same time. It does run a little big so if you like a more fitted coat, this one may not be for you. I personally hate form fitting coats so this was perfect for me. I want to have room to move around and not feel constricted if I'm wearing a heavy sweater and I have plenty in this coat. Now having said all that, it isn't necessarily the most flattering for my shape but I'm more concerned with staying warm than I am at being fashion forward. Another thing about this coat is that it is LONG! The model on the product page has to be at least 6 ft tall for this coat to hit where it does on her. I am 5'3" and it hits me just below the knee. Again, this doesn't bother me because I freaking HATE the cold so I want to be covered as much as possible in the winter! I read the complaints about the zipper so decided I would just use the snaps, but they are VERY hard to fasten. The black fake fur collar was difficult to remove. Took me 40 minutes to unbutton it (sounds simple but they made it very difficult). The hood unzipped okay and if you like hoods you'll probably like this one. Fits up tight to your face. However, despite wanting to love the coat I ended up hating it. First of all, it's really, really heavy. Aren't feathers supposed to be lightweight? It was huge despite my ordering the size Amazon said would fit me best. Two more people could have fit inside it. The sleeves were too long, too. It's too long, not like in the photo, and it's boxy. Not at all flattering. I pictured going to a restaurant and could easily imagine what a problem it would be to slip it off and store it on a bench in a booth. It's slippery and bulky. if sitting at a table, there'd be no way to tame it and get it on a chair. All in all, it's a big NO for me. ... show more
