Loving my new neutral wool rug by LOLOI & Chris Loves Julia (size 3’x5’)! My husband never comments on things I buy for our home, but he vocalized his approval about this diamond area rug! It’s extremely thick & cushion-y so I don’t need a rug pad 👍🏻 BUT it’s too thick that I can’t open/close my back door over it 👎🏻 I’ve had it for a year now & it still looks brand new! Shedding has not been an issue, nor has Vacuuming! The neutral pattern looks high end & goes well almost everywhere in our home! This rug is beautiful, well-made, and has a great texture. I really wanted to love it. Unfortunately, the shedding was absolutely out of control. No matter how much I vacuumed, wool fibers were constantly coming off the rug and spreading throughout my home. Shortly after bringing this rug into my house, my cats began experiencing severe symptoms, including constant sneezing, runny noses, watery eyes, red eyes, and general irritation. After multiple vet visits and spending hundreds of dollars trying to identify the cause, I started eliminating possible triggers in my home. Once I removed the rug, my cats improved dramatically and their symptoms significantly decreased. I can’t say with certainty that the rug was the cause, but it was the only change in my home, and removing it made a noticeable difference almost immediately. The excessive shedding certainly did not help. To make matters worse, returning the rug has been a frustrating process because of its size and the amount of loose wool fibers it continues to release. What started as a beautiful addition to my home turned into a stressful and expensive experience. If you have pets, especially sensitive cats, I would be cautious. While the rug looks great, the extreme shedding and the issues I experienced make it impossible for me to recommend. ... show more

Nice rug, I do have to say it sheds quite a bit & if I sit on it in leggings / pajama pants it is very itchy / prickly. I’ve vacuumed it at least 10 times and every time it fills my vacuum canister half way through the 8x10 rug.. hoping it softens/ eventually stops shedding. May purchase a rug cleaner to see if that helps at all. Beautiful rug just upset with quality as it’s for my son’s nursery and I don’t see how we can sit / play on the rug with how much it sheds. ... show more

I love this rug! I should have went with the bigger size, but the 5x7 was on sale when I purchased it so it felt like a steal at the time. In the future, I plan to upgrade to the bigger option but until then I still really love the rug! Some minor shedding but to be expected from wool. No smell, lays flat, feels nice on the feet! I’ve had this rug for about a year now and it continues to shed. I’ve had other wool rugs and know that there is some shedding in the beginning but this one is shedding so much that is is beginning to bald in some places. We do not have pets- so no scratching. And the places it is balding in is not in any walkways- it’s under a table and next to the arm of a chair. The rug is not soft at all. Only positive is that I love the look of it.
