I had older LED PAR type bulbs in ceiling can lights, They were warm white and not very distinct. Also had an annoying popping, presumably from globe expanding and contracting. These are much more of a bright, clear sunlight, it was startlingly brighter.

Wow., what an incredible difference compared to the old-style incandescent lamp.!! (it's in a ceiling "can" fixture above the kitchen sink).! :) The amount of real AND "perceived" brightness was just amazing to see (if you don't mind the high "K" lighting color of light-beam) and has made seeing what you're doing in the sink SOOO much better. >>> And all of this comes with the equally great quality of reducing my wattage consumption from 60w, all the way down to only about 12w.! :) >>> The only thing now, is to wait and see if it actually lasts as many years as the original lamp, as high-power LED lights can at times fail (from heat retention within the "solid-state" devices) depending on the amount of air circulation (or restriction) around them..... ... show more
