    • capable 2.1 system, solid bass, great connectivity options
The gear arrived in a non-oem box but packed decently well with what looked like original cardboard padding structure. All pieces were there, in bags, with original protective film on, including 2 AAA batteries and the stands. Great so far. Setup was simple. It took longer to pull out the ancient Dell A425 speakers and sub with their cable rat's nest I was replacing. I initially tried the aux 3.5mm connection option as it was easy with no config required since it replaced those Dell speakers connected the same way. I instantly liked what I heard, the larger satellite drivers sound far better than the 20+ yr old Dell setup, no surprise there. Dialing in bass, I found the sub runs from minimal but still tight bass to way too boomy, which is as I had hoped. Highly recommend reading through the puck operations manual page so you can quickly toggle into bass adjustment mode and learn what its LED colors mean / which output mode is being used. I was generally pleased with the sound quality but then I realized I just had to try out the digital signal path available via the subwoofer's micro usb connection. I dug out a micro to usb-a cable, plugged it in to my Windows 11 laptop, which took 2 tries to discover the new system as a "LogiZ407" - and whoah. Huge increase in soundstage, even from the little satellites. More focused midrange. I was shocked by how much better things sounded, frankly. Apparently the sub unit has its own DAC performing DSP and optimizing crossover frequencies, and I absolutely heard that vs letting my laptop Realtek audio push out analog through the 3.5mm to the sub. Using the aux path, the sub then has to re-convert to digital, do its processing, and finally send it out analog to the speakers. So a double conversion path vs digital to the subwoofer DAC. I also noticed a reduction to zero noise or hiss with no sound playing (it was minimal, but there over aux). So this unit is more or less an external sound card, which I had never used before. Cool. Major bonus and the sound quality when streaming high bitrate stuff on Qobuz or whatever sounds fantastic. Don't sleep on this setup, i'm thoroughly impressed with the sound and build quality, especially in usb connected mode. ... show more

I think literally the only thing I don’t like about these speakers is the delay on Bluetooth, which can happen in some situations and some connected devices. It has a decent weight and fairly compact size for the sound that you get. I think this is possibly the best 2.1 PC speaker set up that you can get for the cost.     • Good but be aware that these won't come perfect
Overall, the speakers are a good value. I would rate the packaging as a 3 out of 5. Thin layer of bubble wrap but not much else. A big drop during transit and they will be damaged. Instructions were pretty poor. Mine started at step 2 (no step 1 anywhere). Not a huge deal as they are dead simple and you can find information if needed on YouTube. One of my speakers was relatively blemished. Two 1/2" strips of plastic on the wrong were chipped off revealing a lighter color finish in those two places. The puck also had some deep scratches. Finally, the included batteries were dead for the puck. Needed to replace those. So ... I wouldn't rate these as excellent in terms of open box/returns but they were generally in good shape. The blemishes are a bummer but they are computer speakers. Not a huge deal that they were a little dinged up. That said, the sound is great. Can't hear any issues so far in my testing. The puck worked as expected. These will be nice upgrades to my previous speakers. Side note - getting batteries into the puck is a little tricky and the instructions are pretty poor. Basically, flip the puck over. Place each thumb over the rubberized "feet". Then push/pull the bottom part in the direction of the arrow. Mine took quite a bit of force. I assumed that I was doing it wrong and certainly did not want to break it. But with enough force, the bottom piece slid free. ... show more

    • Incredibly annoying noise upon startup/shutdown
Overall the quality of the sound with the speakers is not a problem, its the fact that every time you turn them on or off there is an incredibly LOUD and annoying tune that plays. This tune cannot be turned off and while it might not bother you the first couple times, after a while - especially if theyre hooked up to a pc- it will start to drain on you and become increasingly annoying. I regret buying these speakers and wish I had known about this problem beforehand. Please save yourself some sanity and purchase a different product. Also I have reached out to Logitech and they have said bluntly that nothing can be done. Absolutely insane for a product like this to have such a loud beeping tune that cant be toggled off. ... show more

    • Great sound.
Bought these to replace a not so old Creative Pebble 2.1 set that died after 2 years of lite use. I was nervous about buying reconditioned, but they came in like new condition and I had no issues getting them setup and connected. The sound is quite good considering the price point. I also like that the cables use standard RCA and Mini-phono so you can extend them if needed. The Creative Pebble had short hard wired connections that couldn't be extended. The cables that come with these are long enough to offer good flexibility. The control puck seems to work well, but it wasn't immediately obvious how to set them to use the 3.5mm audio jack. Looking up the setup guide showed how to use the two buttons on the puck to switch between Bluetooth, USB and 3.5mm. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.     • Dynamic Quality and sound
I purchased this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. My husband had to upgrade his computer and the computer he purchased didn’t have any sound cards or components. The sound of this system is crisp and clear. The cost of this unit was extremely reasonable. The set up was quick and easy.
