Love the unit and it’s functionality with Elite : Dangerous. Very stable desk clamp with plenty of space to grab onto most desks and tables. I have it between my knees via a custom rig and it’s great having all these buttons and that extra joystick for precision maneuvering while landing or for various UI controls. The only thing I was not impressed with was button quality. Not a deal breaker but could’ve been rubber or something soft , maybe textured as well. That aside , a great addition to the controls for EliteDangerous. I can assume it is just as good for it’s intended game Farming Simulator. Would definitely consider getting an improved version. ... show more

I had my reservations getting this due to the few negative reviews, however I'm glad I did. My son loves it, it works on 99% of his games. He hasn't had any issues with it, it mounts easily & firmly. I think like all things in life you get out of it how you treat it & care for it... I occasionally take all his computer stuff to my moms for him to use while there, never had any issues with it afterwards, take care of it & it'll work as designed... The build is solid and doesn't feel cheap. The analog stick is stiff and is not good for small subtle movements but I don't use it for that so it does not bother me. The wheel or dial that is for cruise is counter-intuitive. One could assume that as long as you turn the wheel the cruise speed would steadily go up or down but that is not the case. Continually spitting the wheel is viewed by games as a button being held down. That might work for farm sim but it does not work for any of the games that I use the side panel with. "37 programmable buttons" are more like 28. The buttons are the bread and butter for me and I love them. If you exclude the wheel and button on the stick you have 24 buttons that you can assign to any action at your discretion. That is a lot of input for a controller. Add a program like Xpadder or Pinnacle Game Profiler and the configuration is limited only by the user's imagination. The reason why you spend $150 on a peripheral device is for immersion. This Farm Sim Vehicle Side Panel will almost certainly never be used for farming sims but for Euro and American Truck Simulator, Elite Dangerous, Evochron Legacy and X-Rebirth this adds a layer of immersion that cannot be achieved with the keyboard. With 28 buttons plus 12 buttons on the wheel or HOTAS I can drive or fly anything and only use the keyboard if I need to enter text. I bought this because pressing a button is faster that using voice commands and far more immersive that a keyboard.     • A nice addition for simulator setups!
Arrived earlier than expected. I've really enjoyed it so far, plug and play with FS17 (& FS15). Also works with American Truck Sim which is a plus. I combined it with my Logitech G29. Really makes farming simulator more immersive. Lot's of programmable buttons. Only complaint is that it's high priced for the quality. All plastic housing with plastic buttons. Not the end of the world for me, will certainly keep using it. ... show more

    • Worth Every Freaking Penny
I love a good simulation game with a crap ton of controls. It is TOTALLY worth it IF AND ONLY IF you’re serious about your game. Now if you play Farming sims or Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator like I do, it’s a great buy; assuming you have already obtained/ bought a steering wheel! ***(It will work for flight sims as well)*** In terms of durability it’s unfortunately on the cheap side, but if you take good care of it, it should last over a year and beyond. I bought this last summer in 2018. (it is currently early 2025 and it’s still going strong!) Now to the specific reason why durability is a 3 star. It’s a 3 star because sometimes the key press/ stroke sometimes sticks OR is going to register a double click. So the times when I needed a beacon, cruise control, engine brake, lift and drop axels, etc. It unfortunately requires a firm press or multiple tries. IT IS EASY AS H*LL TO USE!!! It’s a button box with a joy stick, it’s ready for programming and it’s a PLUG AND PLAY. Don’t need the Logitech Gaming Softwares! ... show more
