This bundle includes all four Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY decks, each featuring cards themed around a different FINAL FANTASY game—Revival Trance (FINAL FANTASY VI), Limit Break (FINAL FANTASY VII), Counter Blitz (FINAL FANTASY X), and Scions & Spellcraft (FINAL FANTASY XIV). Land cards may appear from other FINAL FANTASY games. Poorly packaged in one of those yellow post office package with bubble wrap. The cards inside were fine, but the punch out tokens were all unusable. Only the FFXIV package came. The other three packages in the bundle were missing. Once I opened up the FFXIV package, it was missing the booster pack that's supposed to be inside. Because of this, I started checking the cards, and noticed that they were all counterfeit. The green mana symbol on the back did not have the four dots in the shape of an L. They also did not "bounce back" when attempting the bend test.

I picked up the full bundle of the four Final Fantasy Commander precons and went into them completely blind. As someone who has played several of the Final Fantasy games over the years, the nostalgia factor alone was already a big win, but the decks turned out to be genuinely fun to play as well. Of the four, Revival Trance quickly became my favourite. I enjoy graveyard-focused strategies, and this deck really leans into that playstyle in a satisfying way without feeling clunky. It rewards planning and sequencing and feels very “on theme.” Scions and Spellcraft also stood out as a very interesting deck. It offers a different kind of decision-making and has a lot of clever interactions that keep games engaging rather than linear. I haven’t personally piloted Counter Blitz or Limit Break yet, but I have played against both in a game where our entire playgroup used only the Final Fantasy precons. They held their own well, created real pressure at the table, and contributed to some very memorable moments. Overall, these precons are well balanced against each other, offer plenty of interaction, and each deck is capable of becoming a real threat in a game. Whether you’re a Final Fantasy fan, a Commander player looking for fun out-of-the-box decks, or both, this bundle delivers a great experience.

I had a blast playing these decks with my friends, unmodified. So many of the games had interesting interactions, shifts of momentum, and many of them came down to the last turn for either player to decide the victor. As always with Magic: The Gathering, sometimes one deck snowballs before the other deck can get rolling, but I'd say this was an above average experience in terms of gameplay. All of the decks are jam packed with rares and are made up mostly of cards you won't find in the base Final Fantasy set. The cherry on top is the 2-card collector's booster sample included with each deck. In my case, all 8 were rares that were from the 4 Final Fantasy games represented in these decks, so I think they are limited in what they can be, but you still have a chance at some amazing cards. If you can get this collection around MSRP ($280 USD), it is very much worth it! And as a fan of both Magic & Final Fantasy, this set as a whole is easily the most fun that I've had with the game since the 90s. Highly recommended!

The media could not be loaded. Bummer The cards in the booster sampler got the roller over the top and they're all ruined wow wonderful purchase totally going to do this again... Not. The box itself is nice to be so secure but you trash the punch-out tokens just getting into it. First box i didnt notice the tokens on the side of the insert box, the second time i sliced them again but noticed i was scratching them so the third box i just used my fingernail and smashed into the top a bit too hard and still managed to put a line down half the tokens on the side...you need to cut it from the inside out to not damage the tokens you have to skin this box. Im going to add some stars ingace it one star because issues like this are aweful, and the price is astronomical for a few hundred cards but the trice wasnt the biggest downside is the quality control of everything youre getting for that price they could throw in something more than paper punchouts for +1/+1 tokens they couldnhanve put 8 pennies in the box it would have been a better experience than crumpling three boxes of tokens just to learn how to skin the box without damaging them.
