  • 1 So Far If u want a perfect mouse for 5-6months of use you can get this one.
I bought a logitech hero around 8 months ago, and 6 months from the first use the mouse started to ghost clicking like crazy. bought this second one to see if it was some sort of factory error, if the same problem happens again ill downgrade to 1 star and i will confirm this mouse is a piece of junk. Like I said the mouse worked great, this time for around 5 months then the same issue happend again on a new mouse. Not even worth buying this junk. ... show more

  • Great mouse for the price!
Pretty great mouse, I upgraded from the normal 502. The mouse feels more precise than it's predecessor and honestly the main reason for the upgrade was for the white accent color to match my current setup. Over all, for the price it's a great mouse. I paid more for the original one when that came out. 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

  • The scroll-wheel is maddeningly uncomfortable
The mouse is comfortable and while it's a bit gaudy for my taste, it was on sale Cyber Monday and I needed a new mouse. I'm not a fan of the recommended software, G-HUB. Fortunately, Logitech Gaming Software still supports the mouse. My big issue with the mouse is the scroll-wheel. When locked in the clicky-mode (like a normal mouse) it is super uncomfortable because it's smooth metal and slips on your fingers so you end up spinning and slipping a lot. It wears on your skin if you use it for work. So you're pretty much forced to use it in free-spin mode, but it spins WAY too freely. It's clearly on ball bearings, but it needs some kind of friction. Just moving the mouse and touching the scroll wheel will scroll. Then when you scroll, stop scrolling and remove your finger from the scroll wheel, it's likely to move a little bit. It is maddening. It's a fine mouse that is killed by the worst scroll-wheel I've ever had the misfortune of using. I've spent days trying to get used to it, and I'll give it a little more time, but it'll likely get returned for something else soon. ... show more

  • Great Price for a Good Mouse

  • Solid mouse - Software is a giant dumpster fire
The mouse feels good in your hand and has a ton of comfortable and accessible buttons. I was really excited when I unboxed. I have used g pro mice for years now and have liked them, but felt like something was missing. Instantly could tell that this was going to fill those voids after getting my hands on it. But then I installed the software. I've read that the G502 used to work with Logitech Gaming Software, which is super easy to use and works great. G Hub, by comparison, is a giant pile of garbage. It feels like an Alpha build and is so buggy that everything good about this mouse is overshadowed 100% by this terrible piece of software that Logitech forces on you. To be specific: - UI is terrible. Took me waaay too long to figure out how to customize buttons (I should mention that I'm a software engineer). - Set one of the buttons to cycle through the dpi settings, and when clicked, the lowest dpi setting (750) would pop up in the notification. - Logitech forces you to have 4 dpi settings for some unholy reason. No more no less. I use 800 for gaming and 1200 for everything else and ended up having to set 750, 800, 1200 and 1250 to get something close to what I wanted. Would have been a pain to cycle through 4 settings instead of 2, though I couldn't even get the dpi cycling to work anyway, so nothing lost there I guess? - Playing some games forces the dpi to reset to default (feels like its somewhere in the 3000 range). This was a total deal breaker piled on some pretty annoying issues that I could maybe have lived with. - For the love of all that is holy, why does the software auto update your dpi settings when you drag the dpi slider? It might be hard to describe the feeling of trying to go from 3000 dpi to 800 dpi sliding between every level inbetween. Trying to hit the number exactly while the mouse changes speed incrementally the entire time is impossible. Just one of many oversights here... I'd say skip it until they release a new version of the software, or until enough people complain that they scrap it and go back to Logitech Gaming Software! ... show more

  • Mouse starts double clicking after just a few months
The mouse is great as far as the general design and use. Using the old G502 I managed to make use of it for a good 4 years only finally getting rid of it after it was worm down and scuffy seeing the G502 hero SE being rather inexpensive. I was expecting it to be at least on par if not better then the old model I had. Unfortunately the mouse itself only lasted a few months after purchase before it starts to have issues with clicking. When holding down right click it will randomly unpress it and then press it again doing so repeatedly a few times in a row. This is extremely disruptive particularly in gaming or anything where you want to reliably right click. Unfortunately it seems the mouse is rather cheaply made that it can only last a few months before simply breaking. Highly disappointed in Logitech. While it was a company I'd recomend for some of their mouses at one point, now it seems as if they have cheaped out greatly on their hardware and it becomes difficult to use garbage only after a short period of time. ... show more

  • "Hero" edition is somehow junk, while the regular version is the best mouse I've ever used.
I've used the regular G502 for a long time and loved it. There's a night and day difference between the second edition and the original. The scroll wheel is completely unusable in both of my SE Hero models. Scrolling triggers the "scroll wheel left/right" buttons constantly. Add to that the fact that the Logitech software refuses to detect the device on two different machines just blows my mind. ... show more
