  • Not great on my Laklund 5 string
Size: 5-String Light (45-125)
If you own a 35" scale bass and are stringing thru the body these might not be the strings for you. The low B barely made the nut and the 3 or A string almost wasn't long enough. If you are stringing thru the bridge you will be fine. Other brand Bass these may work. I'm actually putting the DR highbeams back on as they sound as good as these even with some time on them. Edit: I replaced these on the Lakland with the DR's and used these on my cheapo Yamaha Bass, A TRBX 305 and they sound great on it. Made it sound more expensive than it is. ... show more

  • Very light
Size: 5-String Light (45-125)
These are decent strings, but very very light. Wish they came in a heavy set.

  • more friction, great sound
Size: 4-String Med Lt (45-105)
so, ive never played with uncoated steels before. they sound amazing. real tinny, great trebles, im loving slapping on them and i can get some gritty tones. the trick is that i have to get used to the fricion first.

  • Great Bass Strings
Size: 4-String Med Lt (45-105)
They sound amazing and they last a long time giving you that crisp sizzling bright sound when playing. Highly recommended.

  • Poor tone
Size: 4-String Med (50-105)
I use SITs on my guitars and like them, so I tried them for the bass. Very disappointed. I'm not actually very picky when it comes to strings and it's pretty rare that I would take strings off before they are "used up" but I can't wait to get these off my bass. No tonal depth, very plinky, and they don't feel comfortable to play. ... show more
