One of the best "jack of all trades" wheelbases available. The BLUF is that it's a huge upgrade from any non-direct drive wheel, can work on any platform*, is powerful enough to give good feedback and works with desk setups. Whether your preferred game supports "TRUEFORCE" is for you to research, though in my experience it's a good bonus. This replaces my old gear-driven units from Logitech I had in the past and the price delta is worth it; direct-drive is silent, the torque and feedback is vastly better, and so I enjoy driving games much more. Regarding ease of use, this ecosystem is very easy to live with for desks. The wheelbase and its RS or PRO accessories operate with detachable USB and everything is connected to the back of the unit, so routing and detaching/attaching when you want to play is much easier than earlier renditions (Driving Force GT, G29, etc.) As I am a desk-clamp user that hasn't yet committed to a cockpit/rig, the detachable wheel is also a great feature that previous Logitech systems lacked. I typically remove the wheel and leave the base in "driving position" on the desk which allows otherwise normal PC usage as it is compact, and it saves on setup time. As far as visual design, it looks better compared to the PRO; I like that it's passively-cooled metal with polymer end-caps. There's other options out there, so do your own research before choosing. The RS50 - I'm happy. Pricey, but definitely worth the cost of entry for direct drive. *If you intend to use this for PS and XBOX, you need to buy the RS50 PlayStation base (and/or wheel) as well as the separate XBOX wheel. This raises the cost a lot, though it is also one of few systems that offers all-platform compatibility. ... show more

Went from a Logitech G923 to this wheel. Debated the G PRO but I didn’t like the large wheel base and felt the NM would be too strong for my kid. Then the RS50 came out. WOW such an upgrade. Absolutely worth the $$$. Makes driving in Forza so much better. True force isn’t a gimmick it’s VERY nice
