I love this chandelier! It is a substantial size, yet airy and light and unpretentious. It has the perfect French country look and was priced well below the same fixture from other sellers. So the base is wood, but very lightweight and the antiqued metal is painted very nice and looks natural. This fixture came mostly assembled, just needed to screw everything into place, thread the wiring through the chain and it installed quickly after that. Once you put in the clear, flame tip 40 watt bulbs and turn it on...Oooo La La! ... show more

    • Came damaged, does not have white arms
This chandelier is not as advertised. The 5 metal arms are suppose to be a white color and is why I chose this fixture. The one I received has brown arms. Mine came with damage to the “wood” base that was apparently repaired but is still very obvious. Three of the metal arms came bent. Because of all this, mine is not worth the $180 I paid. This is in my dining room and fits in lovely with my rustic/traditional style of decorating. The install was relatively easy (I wasn't the one to install it). The picture of this item is accurate to what I received. I am glad directions were included. However the parts could have been labled a bit clearer.
