This carrier is a replacement for one that I had that was too small for Harley the Cat. This one is a perfect size for him. I also like the flat carpeted board on the bottom that keeps the carrier's shape and gives the pet a firm foothold when he is being carried. There are three zippered access areas: top, side, and front. One improvement in that area would be to have a two-zippered access for each, instead of just one zipper that goes from left to right. Having two would allow the zippers to meet at the top of each opening, so that the animal can't escape quite as easily if he/she tries, when the owner is unzipping the opening. I like the well-thought-out ventilation that the carrier provides. It also allows the pet to see his owner when he/she is being transported to the vets, which is reassuring to them. The handles are sturdy and well attached to the carrier. The carrier also comes with a shoulder strap that can be attached to the top handles, which is good if your pet is heavy. Overall, this carrier is constructed well and should last a long time. As you can see from the pictures, my kitty finds it quite comfortable already. ... show more
