Description

Loctite Repair Putty All-Purpose is a hand-mixable and fast-setting two-part adhesive consisting of an epoxy resin putty and a hardener putty perfect for small or emergency repairs. Ideal for sealing pipes, fixing leaks in tanks and drains, and repairing appliances, tools, furniture, toys, automotive parts, pools and cracks in concrete, this versatile putty bonds to metal, masonry, brick, wood, glass, ceramic, rubber, fiberglass composite, china, stone, marble and many rigid plastics. This two-part adhesive putty combines to produce a hard, tough, permanent and waterproof bond and seal that is potable water safe. Quick and easy to use, the modeling clay consistency allows it to be shaped and formed as desired before curing begins. Loctite Repair Putty All-Purpose does not shrink and is resistant to most common solvents. It can bond to damp surfaces, cure under water and can be sanded, drilled and painted after 60 minutes.

Hardens like a rock. I used this to patch some areas around the bathroom faucet drain that was rusting on a ceramic sink. This putty filled a small indentation around the drain and hardened as directions indicated. I used those thin disposable gloves to knead the mixture with my fingers. The gloves didn’t work well, as some of the putty stuck to the glove. Be sure to use a regular rubber glove or similar when working with this putty. All in all, this putty did the job. I haven’t sanded it yet but can see the finished texture will take well to sanding. I only wish the color matched my white sink more. There is a slight blue tint when dried. I bought this to repair a couple of large chips in white ceramic plates. The product is a 2 part epoxy putty (like JB Weld), one part is white the other is dark blue. You slice a piece off so you have white and blue that is kneaded together and it come out a very pale blue, almost off white. The pictures make it look like pure white, it is not. So good stuff if you are not worried by the color. But not so much if you expected a pure white. ... show more

I had a Rubbermaid tall outside storage cabinet with a top corner portion missing in the front of one of the doors. Area was about 3 x 4 ". Replacement of the cabinet would have been over $250. I used the epoxy to mold another corner. It adhered perfectly. Dried quickly and sanded beautifully. I repainted the cabinet and it looks like new. ... show more

Used to reset a metal railing baluster on front stairway, rather than rip and replace the whole handrail. Easy to mix the two components, but found it a little difficult to apply as it tended to crumble during application. But was a relatively quick and very cheap fix for the time being.
