I installed this sticky tape back in December 2024 to hang some small photo prints in my bathroom, which sees daily showers and plenty of moisture. As of June 2025, it’s still holding strong—no peeling, no slipping, and no signs of wear. I’m honestly impressed. A couple of tips based on my experience: 1. Surface Prep Matters – If you don’t clean and dry your walls properly before applying the tape, you might not get the best results. I made sure to wipe down the area with a bit of rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely, and it’s definitely paid off. 2. Removal Is Doable – If you ever want to take it down, a quick blast from a hair dryer softens the adhesive and makes it easier to peel off without damaging your paint or drywall. This is not the kind of tape I’d use for something temporary, like seasonal or holiday decorations—it really grips and is best for something you plan to leave up long-term. I used this for a few small wall items and for keeping a power strip from sliding around under a desk. The main trick is cleaning the surface first and pressing it down longer than you think you need to. Once I did that, it held much better than the cheap clear tape I had in a drawer. I wouldn’t use it on loose paint or delicate wallpaper, but on smooth plastic, metal, and sealed surfaces it worked nicely. It’s thick enough to grab uneven spots a little, and being able to cut the exact size I needed saved waste. I struggled to find these specs in the description, but the product specs I found list it as 1 inch wide, 9.85 feet long, foam-style heavy-duty mounting tape with removable adhesive and strong peel adhesion.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — It Sticks Where Nothing Else Dares To If you’ve ever tried hanging literally anything on those painted cinderblock walls in a school, you know the struggle. Posters curl. Decorations fall. Hope fades. But THIS double-sided tape? Oh, it understood the assignment. I used it on the infamously impossible walls of my library, and guess what? Things stayed up. No peeling. I really hoped this would be a good alternative to command strips and I was willing to pay more because it came in a roll, in my mind, I could cut it to my needs, so, perfect! I rent so although I have a few heavy items appropriately mounted to the walls, the rest of my decor is with command strips and hopes and dreams. I have experience in the past with command strips failing and glass gets broken, so I keep that in consideration when mounting art with glass covers. I try not to mount anything fairly heavy and to be safe, I use a lot of heavy duty command strips to be sure. They work for the most part, but they're also expensive. The reviews for this heavy duty double sided tape were really good, so I figured I'd give it a try, and I really wish I would have just paid extra for the command strips. I mounted a few pictures in a plastic frame and plastic covering, and so far, they're okay. They're super light weight, less that a lb easy, so it should at least hold that up! I also used it on some command hooks. I used it to mount a drum piece that is literally plastic and only weighs a couple ounces, and it has fallen down multiple times. I'd also like to say, unless it's mounted to a picture frame, I follow the general instructions to press and hold for at least 30 seconds (I do multiple rounds of 30 seconds) and then leave it for 24 hours to allow maximum adhesion to the wall. This worked when using very cheap and lightweight frames, but I really expected more. This is good for posters and some very lightweight mounting, but there is nothing "heavy duty" about this. Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing this product again.
