I gave this five stars even though it's not anywhere close to receiving five stars. I want people to see my review and the only way to do that on Amazon, Is it give it five stars so it shows in the first set of reviews. I can tell you that this adhesive is not extreme outdoor and does not stick well to fabric. I have a nylon sunshade, and I attempted to put Velcro on it in order to build a sidewall to protect us from the wind and rain. However, a in a matter of 20 minutes, the Velcro that I first initially put on was falling off. When it got cold yesterday evening and last night, I came home today from work to find the entire strip that I had connected to the nylon fabric had completely fallen off and was laying on my balcony. I want you to know that this is not meant for outdoor you like it states it does in their description. I could see this holding 15 pounds if it was indoors and stuck to a wall or wood. However, again, this will not work for fabric, like stated in the description . If you were planning on trying to do the same thing as what I did and attached this Velcro with an extreme adhesive for outdoor use. . Strong grip, I use them on my painted garage floor to hold 12” x 15” runner pads down that are under each of the car tires. The tape holds the pads firmly and this way I don’t have “hot tire contraction” peeling the paint up.

I have used this Velcro, this same package, for dozens of projects. Indoors and outdoors; in inclement weather, and in Texas when the weather channel says it will be hot… believe it! When it says it’s gonna rain… believe it!! I’ve also used it outdoors in Montana over the years (same package actually, it’s a big roll) and I have yet to have anything whatsoever fall off the wall or come unglued from wherever I glued it. Maybe I lucked out and got the beta one and they changed the glue after that. But I have no complaints whatsoever on either the glue (that I’ve had to pry loose when I changed my mind about putting something somewhere) nor the Velcro. ... show more

We bought a German Shepherd welcome mat. Pretty flimsy and everytime a wind would blow the mat would be halfway across the yard. So we bought this to hold it down. I was skeptical since we live in Minnesota and it was being stuck to cement steps, but WOW!! It's been over a year and the mat is still in the exact place we stuck it! It held out last winter with like 30 feet of snow and 40 below temps. We shoveled the landing where the mat is and it's still stuck! At this point the velcro is going to outlast the welcome mat! But I know what we will be using for our new one!! I've used this stuff on mounting battery packs inside pinballs and other things and it's NEVER failed! ... show more
