For the 64oz we use a 7/16 inch tube that is large enough to accommodate the water needs of the pets noted above.
- VACUUM SEAL: Lixit bottles work by forming a vacuum to hold the water inside. It is important to fill the bottle all the way to the top and ensure the cap is on tight to prevent leaking. Some dripping when the bottle is first turned over is normal.
- EASY TO CLEAN: The lixit wide mouth bottles are designed with a large opening to allow easy access inside for cleaning. The opening is large enough to accommodate a bottle brush and is easy to refill with water.
- QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL: Our tubes are made of the same 304 grade stainless steel in food preparation. We polish our tubes until they have the same satin finish that is found in quality silverware. Each tube is hand coned on the end to ensure that it has a smooth tip that will not harm your pet.

ALL PET WATER BOTTLE WILL LEAK A LITTLE BIT, especially when they are first tipped upside-down! I don’t know why so many people complain about “leaking”, I’ve had every type and brand of water bottle for 20+ years and these work as well as anything else you will find. Do they leak a little? Yes. Will you find a water bottle that never leaks? No! Go ahead and look at the reviews for every single pet water bottle on the internet, people will complain about leaking for every single one of them. Often it’s user error, with people not sealing the lid tightly or not putting on the rubber ring seal correctly, or not following instructions. I have over a dozen of these water bottles and they work wonderfully and do not leak any more than any other water bottle.

This item leaked from the spout for me despite multiple attempts to correct the issue. This was positioned correctly just like our other smaller bottle which works perfect. This just drained out the water slowly

Love this waterer! At first I was concerned because it leaked from the drinking spout when we set it up. But it didn't take long before the leaking stopped and it's not been an issue since! I love knowing that I can leave my rabbits for a day or 2 and they will have plenty of water.

My son was begging for a bigger waterer for when we had lots of baby bunnies. He was thrilled with this GIANT! However they immediately started leaking. But then they have since stopped?! I have no idea why...maybe the heat, maybe just being used longer? Anyway, he said he used to have to fill them up every day or multiple times a day. Now the babies are gone so he has them on our male cages and only has to refill them every few days. Nice for when it's hot out and they need a lot more water. We will need to go back to our bowls in the winter but for summer use these are great.

The media could not be loaded. I saw all of the negative reviews about it leaking. But I thought it must be something with the blue screw on cap and not the steel ball. And I had a few ideas for fixing that so I ordered it anyways. Sure enough, when assembled according to the instructions it just leaked like a sieve. So this is what I tried: Teflon tape around the threads, did not work. Teflon, tape around the steel pipe to blue cap interface, did not work. Food grade silicone grease on the O-ring, did not work. Packed the inner blue threads with food grade silicone grease, did not work. Used a wrench to tighten the blue cap a little bit extra than you can by hand (completely unnecessary), did not work. So the problem is definitely with the steel ball and the steel tube for which there is nothing the end user can do. So this sucker is going right back.

This waterer is life saver. We purchased 14 of these. 1 bottle lasted for 2 days for 1 rabbit. Easy to fill. There is a hand grip on the side. Durable and easy to clean. Easy to assemble. We have no issue of leakage. It does drip when you tip it over but it is the bubble. Once bubbles out, dripping stop. Thanks Lixit. All our chicks feeders are from Lixit too.. GOOD quality products.
