This is an excellent addition to any backpackers kit. Stores extremely flat, takes up almost no room in your pack. The stove works well, really couldn’t ask for more. Edges are a little sharp, but a dremmel fixed that no problem.

I cannot express how much I love this product. Been using it for 6months, it's very durable. After seeing the expensive JetBoils & other alternatives, I wasn't satisfied with the options out there for camping stoves. The fact that this was a wood burning stove is what sold me. No need for propane tanks or little fire cubes (although they can be used with this stove). I just use whatever dry wood is around me- bark, sticks, twigs, mulch & some leaves or paper (I save my paper recycling for tinder) & I'm good to go. Set up is simple and the cross section that goes across the top of the stove is perfect. I have used metal cups, teapots, a pot, and a skillet on this stove and it all gets hot quick!!!! Great for heating up food in cans as well. I have used this stove on many windy days and the walls work flawlessly at containing the fire as well as keeping it from going out. On windy days I recommend keeping the stove at least 1ft away from any dry brush that could catch fire, as the fire can momentairly escape through the holes built into the stove. Digging a shallow hole in the ground to place the stove in can also help prevent any unwanted fires during windy days. Make sure you are not leaving any hot coals behind either!!! It takes only minutes for the stove itself to cool down enough to fold it back up again & keep trekking! My friends love it because I can make us all tea/coffee on our hikes.

Used this as a backup for bottle stove on camping trip. Easy to pack and set up, lit well and burned hot. Boiled water in a few minutes. Uses fuel well and goes out fast when you stop adding fuel which is nice to not have to deal with a lot of slow burning embers when you're packing it up.

It’s really nice but I wish I would’ve gone with the titanium one. This one takes too long to cool down. It’s also warped, a little bit.

This thing is a beast. Put one piece of Charcol in it, throw in a match, and then just stuff it full of any sticks you find on the ground a you will have an amazing little fire. I have both the stainless steal version and the Titanium one. I like the Titanium one for backpacking but the Stainless steel version can be used to start a bonfire and be left in it all night. The design of this allows anyone to easily start a fire quickly. Once that fire gets going its like a blast furnace and it will Boil water faster then the Jet Boils. I used both versions in conjunction with Lodge Cast Iron 4 inch skillet to cook any to everything. While I really like my portable Premius burner combination, unless there are no sticks on the ground I really can’t see a reason to use it any more. One of the great things about this design is that once you start a fire you can throw pine needles in to generate a lot of smoke to fend off flies and mosquitos. The stainless steel version of this I can say without a doubt is one of the most satisfying purchases I have ever made, and I feel like any one that camps should own one.

I used this over the weekend for boiling water for freeze dried meals. Assembles in a snap, and does it's job in a no fuss way. Small twigs and whatever other detritus lying about is all the fuel you need to get the job done. The open side allows for simple feeding of the fire. It seems very sturdy. The water heated quicker than I might have anticipated, which was pleasing. I purchased a stainless steel mesh screen to use as a small impromptu grilling surface, which I haven't used yet, but has the potential to be a very handy addition, and it fits neatly in the stove's included storage pouch. About the only complaint I can lodge against it is, while it assembles easily, getting it to come apart is a bit more fiddly. Care should be taken not to cut yourself on the edges when you're trying to get the the tabs to release from each other.

The edges on the product are sharp and dangerous. My mother got cut on one of the edges. Wouldn't be a good camping item because you can easily get cut and if your outdoors without a medical kit any cut could get infected. Definitely not something safe to carry in a camping bag or bugout bag. I found another similar item called REDCAMP wood burning stove here on amazon that was a better quality, light weight, the edges aren't sharp and slightly larger in size. Another down side is that this item is not eligible for return so I lost money because I won't be able to use because its a hazard. Don’t buy this ! It is a piece of junk get the Refcamp wood burning stove and you will be amazed of the great quality at about the same price.

Long story short, we got to our camp location with the wrong connectors for our 2 burner camp stove. We had this on hand as our backup (we had used it a handful of times in the past, with equally great success). Using just easily gathered sticks, we were able to boil water for pasta in about 5 minutes. A BIG pot - with about a gallon of water. Cooked our pasta, then heated the sauce, then heated wash water. It did take one person constantly gathering fuel for that boiling time. But I have several kids, and they traded off the task and it was almost a game to make sure we were getting more fuel before the fire burned down. That was just the first night. We decided to not run out and buy a whole new camp stove. We made do with this handy little stove all week! We had it burning in either the fire pit or the BBQ pit. It does a great job of allowing the right amount of air in to keep the fire going. I have used this backpacking too, and that also worked great! I'm buying another for my kids' BSA troop, as a backup.
