I had the opportunity to try the Livinia Aslan 47" Wooden Dining Table/Mid Century Modern Solid Wood Kitchen Desk (Black), and give my overall opinion of it, and overall, I am satisfied with it. This table is a mid-century modern style piece, constructed from Malaysian Oak with a black MDF top. I would have like to see a solid wood top instead. The tabletop is smooth and curved. The table also features rounded corners for safety and is easy to assemble. it comes with the necessary hardware and instructions. The dimensions are 47in x 27.3in x 29.1in. This table replaces a larger, glass topped table. The problem with glass is that it gets dirty easily and you can get scratches. I love that this table is small and it makes my kitchen look bigger. The table is solid wood and I really can’t tell that because of the finish. It has a satiny finish that is extremely easy to clean. I did mark it down by one star because I managed to screw up following the directions for attaching the legs and after a half an hour of trying to put them on wrong, I finally reread the directions and figured out I was making it much harder than it needed to be. I may be good at reading and writing, but I’m obviously not so good at assembling things. I think a video would help challenged people like myself assemble the table. Once I figured it out, it was very easy to put together. The box came damaged and the plastic bag the accessories (bolts, washers, springs and an Allen wrench) came in was completely ripped, I found one bolt on my porch but luckily the rest were there. I was missing three springs and found one of them after I assembled the table and was breaking down the box for recycling. UPDATE: After using this table daily for over three months, what we have found is that it gets little chips in the surface very easily. I also recently discovered a crack in one of the legs. The only person that uses the table is my 85 year old mother and she is not abusing the table. There’s no children to blame the chips on. The table just has not worn well and when it warms up, I’m getting my previous glass table out of my shed and will put it back into the kitchen. I’m glad I didn’t give it away, ... show more
