This little bucket heater really heats up ! In my hot tub ~ 210 gallons it seems to heat up faster than 2 degrees/hour. Every time I try to time it I get distracted . . . But it heats up the tub really well and more quickly than previous heaters. It is also convenient in that you just toss the entire thing in the tub and plug it in. No rigging up some coat hanger deal to hang the other type bucket heaters. So far it has heated the tub nearly every day from about January 3rd, 2022 into April, and from late September until today with no problems. Most of the time it heats for more than 3+ hours per time. The "ON" indicator light stopped working but the heating elements are still going strong. Don't leave it in the tub when not heating. (Certainly, NEVER leave it in there while tubbing unless you want to become stew . . .) The elements of my last heater fused together over the summer of 2021 and the heater shorted out. ... show more

This heater is worth the investment. It can heat 5 gallons of tap water up to 116 degrees in about 16-17 minutes. It’s used every other day and I haven’t had a single issue with it. The digital thermometer arrived dead and trying to find the batteries locally was a slight chore. Order a few batteries— the thermometer stays on 24/7 but has minimal drain on the little batteries and I’m still on my first set of batteries and it has been 5+ weeks. UPDATE: IT HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS AND I PLUGGED IT IN TODAY AND IT KEEPS TRIPPING THE BREAKER SO THERE MUST BE A SHORT OR SOME INTERNAL WIRE THAT IS BEING EXPOSED TO THE WATER ITS SITTING IN. 🤦♂️ So I have to reduce the 5 stars I initially gave it down to 2 stars. It should be 1 star because it only lasted 2 months but the performance was awesome for those two months so I’ll leave it at 2 stars. ... show more

Product works great. It does take a little bit of time to warm a large container of water. I use ours for if we run out of propane to heat bath water (takes around 3 hours) and it’s worked well the few times we needed it.

We bought this for heating a 20 gallon tank to be used with a portable camping shower. In under two hours we had perfect bathing temperature water. An earlier 5 gallon test took about 40 minutes to get over 170 degrees F. Better than expected and highly recommended.
