We received the product quickly. The packaging was well thought out; each breakable piece was snuggly inserted into heavy block styrofoam so nothing could move around during transport. I would advise to be cautious and careful unpacking the item due to the snug fit. There are a lot of pieces so be prepared to spend time hanging each prism. Thankfully my husband is well versed in electrical work; the install seemed to have gone flawlessly ( I heard no complaints ). only a few pieces seem to be glass, the rest is all plastic. The bowl at the bottom, bowls under the lightbulbs, and the main shaft appear to be glass while the arms and the rest seem plastic. I do wonder how long the plastic crystals will remain shiny and light reflective before they start to weather and dull. All in all I am pleased! ... show more

This turned out so pretty! I wish the crystals had been faceted but they are still shiney despite being smooth. Need to know: 1 - you will need longer cord and chain. You can buy it in a kit at Lowe’s. Then it’s easy to tape the wires together and pull them through and require. 2 - connecting all the arm wires is extremely difficult - I stripped them quite a bit father and wound them up in a large wire but and taped them to be sure. 3 - plan 4 + hours to put together and install. It wasn’t hard, just time consuming. 4 - the small hook they gave to hang didn’t fit our light socket. I used the old one and screwed the new one to it with some small bolts and nuts. ... show more

This chandelier is so worth the purchase. It’s absolutely beautiful in every way. It’s a showstopper. The cost is outstanding for the quality of the product. Chandeliers half this size are hundreds more. A chandelier of this size & style at a lighting store costs thousands. I was hesitant to purchase because the reviews of all the chandeliers like this mentioned how incredibly difficult it was to assemble. I’m horrible at assembling anything; my hubby usually grumbles about having to. I bought it anyway & we couldn’t be happier. Surprisingly my husband had no complaints or issues assembling. He did it pretty quickly too. He asked for a picture of it towards the end & that’s it. Instructions weren’t useful. The installation was more complicated or time consuming. Our electrician teased that I not buy another like it. Poor guy; I took one look at it & ordered another just like it to hang above our dining room table. Should be here any day now. If you’re able to assemble it & install or have someone do it for you, you can’t beat this beauty. It’s a must buy & a showstopper at an unbeatable cost. We had to replace the chandelier that was going to burn us to death one night, the wires were so old. This was a perfect choice. It comes packed incredibly well, unassembled. It's definitely a project, but I had fun putting it together. The biggest issue is that the wires are superfine and require really good wire strippers and a super light touch, and they really need someone handy with a soldering iron. But once you put it together and get it up, it really looks like something you paid ten times the price for. And the quality is there in the crystal. It's a beautiful piece. ... show more
