This product is great! My sons (3 & 5) received this for Christmas and it's so great it inspired a new bedtime routine. We all sit at the top of the steps together and listen/watch a story before bed. I have included a list if pros and cons below, but the biggest thing to know is that these stories are not the stories you know and love, they are adapted for the story machine. While fun twists on classic stories, they were adjusted to be much shorter in length. I'd love for them to come out with longer books for this! Pros: - Keeps my children's attention - Great to watch as a family together - Fast set up - Comes with 3 stories - My 5 year old is starting to read along! Cons: - The projector often needs to be tilted upward, but doesnt come with a stand. This is an easy fix by simply placing something under the front, but an oversight in the design - The projector needs adult set up for younger children - The stories are very short in length! Likely only a third to a half of the traditional Dr. SUESS books. The sound is good, but you do need to sit near the projector to hear it. Visual projection is limited to around 60 inches in size, but in order for the kids to read along, you likely want it closer to you anyway. ... show more

Bought this as a christmas present for my 1yr old and she loves it we listen to the book every night story look very clear and sound very clearly. It makes a great night light and sound machine as well

    • Nice alternative to tv
Nice alternative for a quiet time together. Tv is a rarity in my grandson’s house so this is a nice go to. No flashy, fast moving images. He likes to snuggle in his teepee and watch his books come to life.

Got this for my nephew for Christmas and he LOVES it! Such a fun alternative to tv and screen time while he learns to read. We have already bought a couple more books for him to learn from.

My child loves this toy. They picture quality can sometimes fade out when moved too far away from the wall. You can adjust the volume, stories have colors and fun ambient noises for sleeping. Cute characters and books can be incorporated. This is was a good buy for the value. Stories can last anywhere from 3-5 minutes.     • Won’t stay in focus
This is a great toy and my grandson loves it. However, it doesn’t stay in focus from one screen to the next. I followed the instructions and it still does not. Any suggestions?

Works great, so cute and really user friendly. Littlest kids may need a tiny bit of help but will probably become independent with this pretty quickly. There is a nifty turn knob on the front that focuses the image, so if you think it’s blurry or not working that might be the problem. This does work best when it’s dark, but as shown it can be used mid-day if you turn your lights off it just isn’t as clear as it would be at night. The berenstein bear books are our favorites with this, but the Dr. Seuss ones it comes with are pretty cute too. It’s got a fun old-school style ejection button that makes it feel nostalgic and very sweet for littles. We were pleasantly surprised with how much our kids liked this and how it was ready to go right away, although it was hard to get out of the box. Get your scissors ready. ... show more
