The media could not be loaded. I had my EXTRA tiny 11-year-old daughter try this hoverboard for me. Obviously it’s too slow for her but a younger kid would enjoy this. I do feel like it’s complicated to operate but once you learn it, it’s not too bad. It’s very sturdy though! I’m 135 pounds and took it for a little spin myself with no problems at all!!!     • Wish I had These Types of Toys When I was a Kid!
First off let me start by saying, the toys that these kids have today based on the advancement in technology is crazy. Something I only wish I had when I was young. My son who just turned three has been learning how to ride a bike. He is pretty good on a scooter already so when I saw this pop up in my feed, I knew this would make the perfect learning tool for him to help him getting used to turning. The hoverboard itself is pretty awesome. The handlebars are adjustable in height and you need both feet on the pads in order for it to start moving which is a great safety feature. The battery could use some work, but it does last about forty minutes or so which is usually more than enough time for him to practice. I just wish they made separate batteries that could be used so once the battery runs out, you can use another one and keep going. This is pretty cool. There's a third wheel that's not easy to spot immediately (by the kids) and that provides the perfect amount of stability. A two year old with good balance can use this. I wouldn't have anyone over the age of 4 on it, though. It's well built for a 40lb kid, but not for an elementary child. My two older kids each have hoverboards so this is the perfect intro toy to make the little guy feel like he's keeping up with them. It's slow, but that's perfect for a 2-4yr old. TIP: When you order, click the "this is a gift" option, even if you don't need a gift receipt. Forcing it to ship with a gift receipt will ensure it ships in a plain box and not in the actually product box like it did for me, potentially spoiling any surprise. ... show more

This is a nice hoverboard for beginners, you have to be standing on it for it to go so it won't run away on them. It doesn't go real fast but fast enough. Only two screws for assembly, took about 5 minutes to put together. Just right for my daughter learning who's just learning to ride. I hope this review and pics were helpful. ... show more

This is kind of hard to use. Its hard to get going with it and it will stop abruptly. The kids get frustrated with it pretty quickly and then stop using it. The assembly was very easy though so that's a plus.
