The recommended compatible ice packs for Little Bum Coolers are Lifoam Freez Pak size small. (Ice packs are not included in your purchase). They can be found online or locally. There are five pockets, so you'll need five ice packs. Ice pack dimensions are 3.4 x 1.4 x 6.8

I live in Arizona, which in case you haven’t known, it gets up to 115°. I purchased the small ice packs and froze the whole thing together in my freezer. When we’re about to leave I put it on my daughters seat and it keeps it cold. During my shopping trip I leave it on her seat and it keeps it cool. We live in this Texas heat and it works perfectly! I just wish I got it sooner! You have to buy the ice packs separately(size small) but it really works! We use it in our infant carrier right now. It stays frozen all day! Most important thing is to not forget it when we leave the house but nothing a little sticky note in your car can’t help! ... show more

I love this for my son as he runs hot, summer months can be hard in the car seat. This is really easy to use and stores pretty well. Unfortunately I didn’t realize it didn’t come with the ice packs so make sure to read the description unlike me. Overall I recommend it!

For $40 I was so shocked when it came with no ice packs!! It’s basically just a really pricy case to hold your ice packs…. It’s nicely made and cute designs. But. Not worth it to me.

    • A MUST HAVE ON YOUR BABY REGISTRY
Even before I was pregnant I knew this was a must have. We could not live in the Arizona heat without this. Your child DOES NOT sit on top of the cooler. I repeat... NOT FOR SITTING ON! You put it in the car seat to cool it down when your child is not in it. When you get back in the car, viola, cold seat, no hot metal buckles or straps. The ice packs that fit perfectly are less than a dollar! I have an infant so we just use it to cool the seat down but when he is older it can be used to keep their lap cool while driving or out and about, too. Stays cold ALL day! ... show more

Great idea- helped keep my toddler cool. Was hard to remember to always take it in and out. Wish there was a strap to put around car seat because it would just fall down sometimes!

For some reason, I thought the ice packs came with it but they do not. Must’ve misread that. But this product is a lifesaver for me and baby! Summers are very hot where I live and although this doesn’t keep her cool fully- this product combined with a few others like a stroller fan and car seat cover, make a HUGE difference! ... show more

    • Not worth the money! Just material with sewn pockets. You must provide your own ice packs SEPARATELY
For almost $40, I had expected this to have the soft gel ice packs already in the pockets. IT DOES NOT. I was very disappointed! It was just material with sewn in pockets for YOU to put in your own ice packs in it separately. This was not worth the money at all. I can easily take a pillow sheet and sew some big pockets for less than 40$. It is the ice packs that cost more separately, so the price for this product did not make sense.
