This looks even better in person than I ever expected, especially for the low price. It's lightweight so can easily be moved, but extremely sturdy. The sides are actually made out of MDF so it has major weight support! Love how you can just flip up one side of the top to get into the storage, rather than having to remove the entire top and anything you may have on it. Assembly is a piece of cake. It's literally 3 pieces, which convienently fold up and store inside the lid for easy and space saving storage. I expected the sides to be flimsy like the cubes you can buy at any store, instead, it is extremely sturdy due to the structure being made of MDF. The leather isn't too fake looking like most things. Okay, when this arrived in a flat box, what I pulled out was nothing like what I expected. This thing looked like it was the cheapest piece of garbage. Then I assembled it, and I couldn't believe how wrong I was. This thing is great. It looks great, it supports plenty of weight on the top and feels extremely sturdy and solid. Considering how it seemed when I was putting it together (which takes about 4 minutes by the way and requires no tools) I would have never thought it would feel as solid as it does. I honestly couldn't be happier, and this thing was so cheap for what it is. I just got so sick of looking at Ottomans that were upwards of $100. I mean, I want a place to put stuff, but I also like $100 so... This thing's just simply amazing. Don't judge it until you've completely put it together because I'm telling you, what you pull out of the box is definitely not what it is when it's assembled. ... show more

I purchased this (43 inch) storage ottoman a year ago in Jan. & it's still in excellent condition! It's nice looking & very versatile. I live in a small studio apt. I originally ordered this to put at the foot of my full size bed for some much needed extra storage. And while it was a perfect size, it made my apt. look smaller, so I planned to return it. While deciding what to do with it, I placed it in my long hallway, under a hugh painting and to my surprise, it looked great there! So I kept it. I find it to be sturdy. (I don't have young kids or pets). If I still had my cat, I know it would be a favorite place for her to lay with a soft blanket! :) I use it to store odds & ends, but also some linens & throw blankets & pillows. It holds a lot! It's so convenient that you can open each side of the lid, rather than taking the whole thing off. ~ I sit on it all the time ~ It's in a hallway so while it's not regular seating, I do make good use of it. For reference, I am a 148 pound female. It's held up extremely well. It was so easy to put together....but one complaint is that it did come with an odor. I aired it out & the odor lessened, but to this day it still has a faint "cedar" smell. Not strong at this point, but there. A nice looking useful piece. Only downside was the odor. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love the dimensions of the unit. It looks perfect at the foot of my queen adjustable bed. I immediately stored extra pillow cases for accent pillows. The iron support bar is perfect to distribute weight across the unit. Color was spot on too. No tools required to assemble and it is heavy. Doesn't feel cheap quality either. It took me five minutes to put this together, and four of those minutes was opening up the packaging! Very handsome ottoman, sturdy, and I love that it can open from either end rather than the entire top opening at once. Definitely recommend this to anyone!
