I did everything they said to acclimatize my cats to the litter robot. They did not like it. It’s also very bulky and the actual litter area is very small. They refused to use it. I returned it. Beware, I had to pay $162.29 to UPS to return this item to the seller.

    • Best Litter Box Ever !
You need a fine clumping litter, the cleaning grate needs this. The cycle handles urine and waste easily. The dome comes off from the unit and I just hose it out with dish soap. You can use small kitchen bags for the tray dump section. It’s not perfect, waste still sticks to the dome, but it was well worth the money. Odors and daily scooping a thing of the last. Litter Robot 3 has been perfect for me and my 4 month old kitty! I’ve had her for a month and was using a basic litter box at first. She was constantly getting litter everywhere when burying her feces and then our dog would think it’s an invitation so this semi-enclosed litter robot has been a real problem solver. Although it doesn’t sense my kitty just yet, I just have to make sure I manually cycle it twice a day and watch it complete its cycle so that the kitty doesn’t enter in the middle of it. I am also trying to get pregnant and women aren’t supposed to clean litter boxes so, again, another problem solver for our family! It is quite expensive but worth the $$$ IMO. I just need to get the fence accessory since she sometimes scoops litter out towards that direction and a litter trapping mat since she still tracks a little bit of litter every time she leaves the litter robot. The app shows how full the disposal is, which is over 3/4 right now and I haven’t noticed an odor yet. So far, very happy with our purchase. ... show more

The price is STEEP, but we wanted something easy to clean. Keep in laundry room and used Fresh Step Lightweight Extreme Cat Litter, Scented with Febreeze. We are first time cat owners and adopted a 7 year old male cat that had been an outdoor cat the last 4 years. We placed water and food next to the unit and do not turn it on yet except to have it cycle thru waste. He used it day 1 and has since kept using it. We still haven't set it to automatic cleaning as want to be sure he is comfortable. He is a large 12 pound cat. Also have a large cat mat in front called Whisker Cat Litter Mat by Litter-Robot, Beige, Litter Catching Mesh Material. So far we like it but understand the price is quite high. Was easy to clean out and use Hefty Ultra Strong Tall Kitchen Trash Bags, Lavender & Sweet Vanilla Scent, 13 Gallon bags for the drawer. Will update review if things change once we leave it on full time. For us it was worth it. ... show more

This looks like a pod that will house your cat in suspended animation for a deep space trip. It is also fairly large, so make sure you have space. That being said, i was a bit skeptical when I saw it, but the price almost gave me a heart attack. Now that we have been using though, this thing is revolutionary. After your cat does their thing, the pod rolls so the larger particles, poop and pee clumps are dropped into the storage below. It then rotates back so the litter is back, and viola, no more poop. We have to clean the storage, but infrequently and it does not smell. I love the blue light as well. Not sure the cats appreciate the high tech nature of the device, but I love it. ... show more

Oh my! How in the world did I ever live without this poop bot? I absolutely love this! I have 2 fur babies who are very particular about a clean litter box. I couldn’t keep up with their demands so I splurged and have never been happier. It even sends me a text when it’s full! Just absolutely love it! It took my cats a bit to acclimate but now they also love it! Best purchase ever!!!!! ... show more

We have 2 cats, the sensory issue kept the box paused during most cycles. Then the smell is horrible, it's no better than our old cat box. When the cats used the old litter we had it stuck to the sides and would not dump it into the bin. When it did dump it dropped on the sides and left cat litter all over the inside of the box. Then we thought maybe it was our cat litter so we purchased the premium litter that is recommended for the box and it does the same thing and but doesn't cover the smell at all! This was a very bad experience for such an expensive litter box. However, they were very understanding about us being unhappy with the product and accepted our return request. BUT be aware you are responsible for the return cost as stated in the policy. Or they will send you a label for the return but will withhold the money from your refund. ... show more

I love the Litter-Robot so far. We’re 4 days in and the difference is life changing. We have 2 cats. No smell at all and we haven’t had to clean out the tray yet. We have the app so it tells us how full the tray is and when they use it. My cats had no trouble getting use to it. It’s a lot of money to invest in a litter box and cabinet, but I’m so glad I did! ... show more
