The Liphisy 66" Tripod is a very useful in-between device for holding your light weight camera or mobile phone. It can serve as a selfie stick or a full tripod. As with any "jack of all trades, master of none" items, it is not the optimum tool for either of those functions. It's aluminum construction is rigid with tightly locking extensions and the tripod base legs. As a selfie stick, it has a great range of lengths, but is heavier than dedicated selfie sticks. It could get tiring if required to hold it extended for any length of time. As a tripod, it has a great range of heights - up to 66 inches. But while it has a rigid design, physics works against the narrow tripod base and large height potential. It can easily become top heavy if raised too high for the weight of the camera and the conditions of wind and surface conditions. The legs cannot be adjusted for irregular surface conditions. A carpeted surface will allow camera sway with any local vibrations or disturbances. When used with a small camera on a flat, firm surface and with the center pole not extended to full height, this unit makes a very adequate camera tripod. The saying that "the best camera is the one that you have with you", applies to this accessory tool also. If you don't have a dedicated, lightweight selfie stick with you or you left your quality camera tripod behind to save weight, this tool becomes a very attractive alternative for capturing pictures in many different situations. For it's size, weight and flexibility, it makes a good carry choice when travelling. It has a strong, rigid design. It sets up and stores rapidly. It allows camera attachment with a standard 1/4-20 tripod screw post and comes with a mobile phone holder suitable for use in landscape or portrait orientation. It holds my Pixel 8 Pro mobile phone securely. This unit does not come with a ball head, but allows for adjustment in the vertical angle. Lateral adjustment is accomplished by rotating the entire unit. A small ball head could be attached if desired, but is not included. A small Bluetooth shutter release remote control unit is included.     • Very portable and well built tripod that I plan to get a lot of use out of.

I have a few different tripods laying around for different purposes so I thought I would give this one a try. It's not entirely compact since it is cable of going very high so getting stills or video at a lower elevation is out of the question. When the tripod is fully extended you should expect some wobble in the top as it will become more sensitive to movement due to the thinness of the pole. I really like the holder you place your phone in because it grips well and has plenty of articulation. I didn't use the remote so I can't comment on that but there's no reason to think it won't work ok. Besides, what smart phone doesn't have a timer setting. The Amazon listing says "3 Pack" in the initial product photo but after deciphering that misleading info it means there are three pieces that come in the box being the tripod, a separate cell phone holder that must be manually attached and the remote control. Not 3 tripods kits. I hate it when that happens. This is a well built and lightweight tripod that to me, does not feel budget. The selling price is extremely reasonable for what you get and I can say that this Liphisy 64” Tripod is way better quality than another tripod I bought several years ago that's very similar but costed more. ... show more
