  • Garbage.
Complete and utter garbage. Amazon Renewed is shameful. This arrived dirty and already opened (the “renewed” box had a seal that was already broken). The router setup was fine, but the router itself drops connectivity every hour. Sheer torture working from home with this garbage. Customer service was terrible, loathe to help, and won’t do anything to get a replacement out quicker. Brutal. ... show more

  • Wifi Signal is weak and not stable and certainly not cover up to 3000 sqft.
I have this router for close to a month in a 2 story a little over 2000 sqft house. The router is in the 1st floor, the signal is weak on the 2nd floor and can only connected with 802.11n on the farther side of house. The signal is not only weak but unstable. I had to drop and reconnect from time to time get back to a audio conf. meeting. 1. contacted tech support, wasted more than 2 hours and got the answer, the wifi speed 1733mbps is only in ideal case, you need to cut the number in half and take additional 30% off. But, I can't even get anything above 400mbps when sitting next to the router. (file transfer between NAS and macbookpro) 2. if i want to return the product, I need to pass all the tech support testing SOP and approved by the supervisor or manager... I told him this is to turn your customer to other brands, should consider revise. The router connection speed and coverage is not as described as item description. Luckily, can return easily through Amazon. 3. The user interface is very "Simple". it doesn't have many good functions like my old Netgear router does. you can't monitor traffic meters, individual IP (block or deny access in real time), parental control goes by sites not as categories like Netgear provided. Very disappointed at this product and Linksys as I thought it should be a better product and company than Netgear. Still evaluating better product that would provide better coverage for my little over 2000 sqft house before I return this router. ... show more

  • Seems to have made a difference
My service seems to have improved in all areas of the house, which is why I needed it. Sites load faster, streaming is less glitchy. Set up wasn't very straightforward, but we got it done. The app walks you through it, but doesn't tell you everything you need to know - especially since i have separate modem that it needed to connect to. Other people may have more knowledge than me and not need as much set up assistance detail, however. ... show more

  • Disappointing
I've purchases Linksys equipment for years, when I decided to get rid of Comcast's POS I naturally purchased the AC3000. First issue was having to install a phone app to get the router setup which was troublesome at best. Finally got it setup and the router rebooted itself, thought at first it was updating the firmware, then it continued to reboot itself every 15 minutes or so. We both work from home and I can't tell you the language I heard when the router would boot us out. Tech support was not helpful and blamed my Internet provider. Returned to Amazon and purchased the Netgear Nighthawk which is a fabulous router. ... show more

  • Bang for your buck
I live out on the country and dont have bad to the bone internet but I wanted something that would give me great range for all my google stuff to control the house I am vary happy with this I live in a long house and it covers the whole thing. Now if you need a faster one you going to have to pay a ton more this one allowed me to do wireless stuff for xbox ,oculas ,smart tv. So big thumbs up for the money and I loved that I used my phone to set it up instead of a pc easy for me ... show more

  • Great Router!
This if the best router that I've ever owned. Speeds have been consistent with few connection issues. The range estimates seem to be accurate, I have coverage all over with two added nodes. Everything is on one network now, I don't need any extenders or have to change to connect to different extender locations. WiFi 5 is great. Wish I could have future protected with WiFi 6, but it'll be fine for the next several years and beyond. ... show more

  • WiFi everywhere...
I used to have a WiFi smorgasbord: LinSys EA7300 connected to a D-Link router configured in bridge mode. In the farthest room from both routes (4-5 walls away) a little Netgear repeater. It worked but barely. Fast forward to NOW: LinkSys EA7300 connected to the cbal modem, MR9000 hard-connected to the EA7300 in bridge mode as a parent VELOP node, meshed with two LinkSys WHW03 v2 satellites.
