These pillow chairs are the best we’ve found! We bought one for me as I just had surgery on my knee and we knew I would need help sitting up in bed, and these are perfect. The support is exactly how much I needed, I can sit up completely straight, or lean it back some and adjust the arms around me so I’m leaning more. My husband tried it for a while when I was asleep and liked it so much that he ordered himself one, too! They come vacuum packed in a box that looks like it’s impossible it will be the same as the image. Once you open it, you have to CAREFULLY open both plastics that in enclosed in. Once it’s out, the fabric is very loose, and the memory foam doesn’t fit in it right away. You must vigorously floof the whole thing, focus on the arms and joints a LOT (pretend it’s a shake weight, don’t make it weird). Let it sit somewhere flat and where it will be left alone for like 2-3 hours, and bam, you’ve got the perfect chair. My only issue with this is the neck support. Firstly, it just snaps on with these flimsy little plastic snaps, so it come off almost every time we grab the handle that’s on the top of it. And then it doesn’t actually sit where it shows in the picture, you have to kind of hold it in whatever position you want it behind your neck, which isn’t very relaxing. But we’re making it work, and it’s still the best option we’ve found for our needs! ... show more

It took a few days of tumbling it around on the couch to get the foam to distribute itself evenly but that's noted in the directions. It's large enough to support an adult very well & the arm rests are really nice to have. I like having my arms supported. I bought it mainly to use for reading in bed so that I can keep both legs elevated for health reasons but I had to return it because once it opened fully, although it was supportive, I could barely move it around to position it or to take it on/off the bed as needed. It was simply too large, heavy & awkward for me to manage but it's very important to note that it was difficult for me to manage because I'm an elderly female & simply not as strong as I used to be. A smaller size would be better for my needs but this did exactly what it says it will & looked well made to me. It was just heavier than I could manage otherwise a good solution for my needs. ... show more

It is alot bigger than I thought. When I took the wrapping off, it just went poof and fluffed up. I waited till the next day and it was fully expanded. This is so comfortable and soft. I’m 5’5 and first I ordered the standard size, but I have to set it up on a regular bed pillow to get the right height. Once I do it’s fantastic, especially since I often fall asleep sitting up. Thinking I needed a bigger one, I ordered the extra large. Y’all. Seriously, this thing is huge! Too huge for my husband to fit in a queen size bed beside me. So it had to go back. Amazon was incredible when I called asking *how* to return something so big. They sent UPS to my house. UPS wrestled it into a box by the handy dandy carrying strap and on its way back it went. Right now I’m propped up in bed against the standard size one on top of a regular pillow and I couldn’t be happier. Try it, it’s great!
