My old Harbor Freight hot dog compressor was shot and was taking 10+ minutes to fill up, and it was also obnoxiously loud so I knew I wanted a 'Ultra-Quiet' compressor to replace it with. I found these Limodot compressors and decided to go with the 2ga with the BIG motor because I wanted the best performance in the smallest package. And WOW what a difference. Even with the huge motor the new compressor is actually SLIMMER than my old Harbor Freight so it can sit more flush against the wall which is exactly what I wanted, and barely only 2-3 in longer. It's SO QUIET and literally takes less than 1 minute to fill up completely. Recovery time is only a few seconds. Even with a smaller 2 gallon tank it's not an issue because the motor offers excellent CFM to work with. I used it with an air duster nearly non-stop and it had no problem keeping up, that was impossible with my old compressor even when it was new. Harbor Freight offers a 2ga 'Ultra-Quiet' compressor but it's nearly $200 and still more expensive even on sale. This Limodot offers MORE CFM and has a slim design at a much lower price, it was a no-brainer. The air connection is a 'push' design so you can simply push in a hose and it will lock into place. The compressor seems to only fill up to 100 PSI which is the same as my old compressor but I'm fine with that. The only 'cons' are that it is heavier to carry than my old compressor because of the much bigger motor but it is still VERY portable. I didn't want the 6-gallon because it would be too big to move around. If you really need that extra volume you can connect an auxiliary air-tank which is what I will turn my old compressor into. ... show more

I needed a very quiet and lightweight, but at the same time efficient compressor. After a long search on the Internet and in stores, the choice fell on this compressor. It is used in the office simply for compressed air in large volumes. It performs its functions perfectly. When the sound works is like the rustling of leaves when there is not a strong wind. Very light, which is very important when women carry it. It is also not tall - it fits under an office desk. The workmanship is very high and the design is beautiful. For light or casual use of an air compressor, this is a good choice. My main criteria were that it was quiet and didn’t require oil or strange maintenance rituals. I’m quite happy in this regard. It’s easy to use, I skimmed the manual, attached the air filter, closed the valve and plugged it in. Not much to it. It doesn’t have any wheels but it only weighs 38 pounds so it’s not hard to move. If you’re planning to paint a house or install a roof or hardwood floor or anything that requires constant use of compressed airflow you’re going to wish you had something with more capacity. That being said, this is a great air compressor for the money and you can always add ann external tank to increase the capacity. I mainly use it for blowing dust around and it’s great for that but the compressor kicks in after just a few seconds of use. so if you want something truly quiet, you’re gonna need to spend more money on the larger capacity system. This runs my air stapler with ease and is super quiet. Runs as advertised, fills the two-gallon tank in 45 seconds from an empty start. Was a great purchase, with this and a good staple gun I was able to fix the springs in my sofa saving me from purchasing me a new one. Definitely recommend for small jobs. ... show more

    • Really Happy! The Little Compressor That Could!

I purchased this compressor based on reviews that I have read from other customers and I am very happy with this product. My choice was to invest in a compressor to help me save money on maintenance around my house. It has been used to clean various items such as my dryer vent and my car interior while also providing a fast fill option for filling all of my pneumatic tires. It is very quiet, my 3 year old grandson does not get scared when the compressor kicks on and he enjoys seeing all of the attachments that I use with it. The biggest use I have tested it with is as a blowout device for mt irrigation. I allow the system to fully charge and then open the valve for the line that I want to evacuate and it clears each zone individually. This saved me $90 dollars on its first use. Closing the sprinkler valve and allowing the compressor to refill is key but it only takes about a minute to refill and I run it at about 50PSI for the blowout. All lines together would overwhelm the compressor but It is very efficient if you understand how to apply the machine. I keep this machine close buy for all of my compressor needs. One thing to be aware is that when you are rolling it around using the supplied wheels and handle, the machine wants to tip backwards if you lift up past the center of gravity as the motor is the heaviest towards the back. This just requires a knowledge of general safety rules of any item like this. I keep the tank drained on follow the manufacturers recommendations for use and I have found no problems with the compressor. I fully believe this compressor has already saved me its cost in repair bills with all of the uses it can be applied to. I am very Happy! ... show more

Bought this to replace my old compressor that finally died, and can't believe how quiet this thing runs! I mean, at least compared to my previous, so it's just one data point- but dang. I also like the form factor; the continuous frame/handle seems well centered, and it's light enough to move as needed. Not sure I love the suction-cup feet. So far I've only used it a couple of times for tire refills, but it seems to fill the tank pretty quickly for light loads. Overall- very happy with it so far at the price point. ... show more
