It came packaged nicely. It came with a charging cord (no brick). Looks brand new, I couldn’t tell the difference. It also gave me the 3 months of free kindle unlimited when setting up the kindle. I wasn’t expecting that since I wasn’t purchasing it new, so that was a pleasant surprise. It works great! I’ve had no issues so far and I’m really enjoying using it. The power button is on the bottom next to the charging port! I thought I wouldn’t like this, but the button is actually kind of stiff. You have to intentionally push on it, so if you’re worried about accidentally pushing it, I wouldn’t worry about that. I like the auto adjust feature on the brightness, but you can turn it off if you don’t want it. You can adjust the amount of yellow on the screen. I charged it a few days ago and it’s still at 84%. So the battery seems to last for a while. Also, if you double tap the sides or the back, it will turn the page for you! It even registers through my case. Anyways, definitely recommend getting the refurbished to save some money. Worth it.

I’ve had it about a week. So far I love it. It’s holds a good charge. It easy to use, and the size is good for reading. I almost got the smaller size but I’m glad I got this size. This doesn’t not have a colored screen but it’s perfect for reading. I love the jade green color! I really went back and forth between the green and pink. Both colors are great. Over all I have very happy with my purchase. I went from reading on an iPad to this I prefer this better. It’s lighter and easier to read on. I wish the lock button was on top but that’s my only take away.

I love this Kindle. It replaced a 7 year old Paperwhite for which I got a generous trade in allowance from Amazon. The biggest problem with the old Kindle was that was excruciatingly slow for any interaction besides page turns. This Kindle is radically faster, with experience comparable to a tablet. It has other advantages, e.g. the screen is super sharp and clear. Auto brightness adjustment works quite well. I got a certified refurbished device and it was indeed indistinguishable from new, as advertised. I had the same positive experience with the certified refurbished Eco Show. There is one minor annoyance: the font for dictionary lookups is too small. It can only be changed by switching the global device level setting to Large but if you do, the font becomes way too big. If you want to use wireless charging with a third party case, be sure that the case explicitly mentions support for this feature. I bought a case that didn’t state this support and Rufus query stated that it should but alas, it doesn’t.

I've had a few other kindles. I LOVE this one! Fits in almost every purse I have, and bought a wrap around case that signals the Kindle to "wake up" upon opening. Screen is very readable, sensitive to touch, allows font and font size changes-worth every penny!

I love my used like new kindle but I Wish I could have used my free kindle unlimited subscription when it came in. Also I wish the screens could get a little brighter. (These pictures are my kindle at full brightness not warmth) The size is pretty nice. It functions pretty nice. Amazing battery life. Easy to read on. Would be be easy to travel with if you have a case. Make sure to buy a case is you go anywhere my kindle likes to turn on in my bag and flip through pages. (Luckily I can remeber the last page I read) Overall I would recommend.

I've been a voracious reader my whole life, but the older I got (now 34) the less I read. I started trying to read more again this year and so far I've read 24 (physical) books! But even then, I'd find myself putting off reading the next one, even when I wanted to do it. I've noticed that as much as I love *reading* big books, I hate *holding* big books. I'm chronically ill and spend a lot of time in bed. Supporting the thicker books constantly, being stuck in the ways that were comfortable to read but not being able to lay exactly how my body wanted, etc. was getting really taxing. To the point were I've had my next physical book in a series on my nightstand for a month and haven't touched it. With prime week sales, my husband's employee discount, and some prime visa cashback, I was able to get a signature edition paperwhite for $100, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Downloaded Onyx Storm as one of the first things I found on Kindle Unlimited...and it's been an absolute lifechanger. I can lay however I want, it's not heavy to hold up or have on my arm, I fall asleep easier/earlier at night because I can have the bedside lights off/use darkmode (which my husband also appreciates) or satisfy my doomscrolling tendencies with reading instead. I don't feel like reading has to be such a dedicated chunk of time for some reason either - I can pick it up, read a chapter or two, and put it down. I have weekly plans that I often bring a book to, and I no longer worry about damaging my book or having to carry something extra - my purse has a pocket that was specifically designed to fit/protect Kindles that I can actually use as intended now! I've had it for just under a week now and it's safe to say I'm absolutely in love and I'm keeping it. I've already spent more on Kindle accessories and stickers than I did on the actual device (I even mocked up all the stickers+insert in Canva to make sure they'd fit/look nice together). As someone who loves collecting physical books and has always been adamant they were my preferred format, I never expected to love the Kindle the way I do. I still plan to support actual bookstores and buy copies of my favorite books to display on our shelves (and of course read if I want), but as far as my daily reading goes...this is the winner! I can't wait for all the things I ordered to get here so I can dress her up and make her mine. 💕
