  • Refurb- Excellent product- As good as New
Digital Storage Capacity: 128 GB Offer Type: Without Lockscreen Ads
The Fire is great for such an inexpensive device with good CPU capabilities. Playing videos is top quality, casting to TV was quick and flawless. I installed Play Store for some extra resources. Some apps (e.g. Holland America Navigator) will not run because of the Android level of the device. The larger screen is bright and excellent resolution. I sometime use with Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard - Works great! Audio output via Bluetooth or USB C adaptor works great. Long battery life, bright screen, larger crisp display - full integration with Amazon infrastructure and easy ability (some work on your part) to add sideloaded or Play Store apps too. ... show more

  • Excellent Upgrade from the 10HD
Digital Storage Capacity: 64 GB Offer Type: With Lockscreen Ads
I recently upgraded from the 10 HD Fire Tablet. That was a great tablet. This tablet is twice has good. It really feels like a modern tablet. It is very fast compared to the10 HD. Like way faster. The screen is SO much brighter and better definition. I think the glass maybe of a different quality as well. The size isn't that much different from the 10 HD but enough of a game changer that movie watching is so much nicer. The fire HD10 was a good tablet. This HD11 feels like it is in the same class as Samsung. I am using the Amazon Pen to write this review. I highly recommend this tablet especially if you use the Amazon ecosystem of products. Worth every penny I spent. Oh, battery life is about 12-14 hours off a full charge Keep in mind that the first time you charge it it will take about 3- 4 hours from a zero battery status. The durability Is good as they give you a metal backing as opposed to the plastic back of the HD 10 ... show more

  • Fantastic tablet for the price, but maybe buy new.
Digital Storage Capacity: 64 GB Offer Type: With Lockscreen Ads
My fire max 11 has been fantastic for my wants of playing card games (MTG and Yugioh) and watching YouTube and Crunchyroll. It's a great size for content consumption and doesn't lag or hang like the older Amazon tablets. The screen looks fantastic and watching anime has been amazing. The problem I have is that the charger that was included in the package was micro USB and this tablet uses USB C like most things in the past 5+ years. I wasn't a big deal to me I have lots of USB C chargers, but if someone did not they would not be able to charge it. Also the tablet came completely dead and would not turn on until I charged it for over 2 hours. Though it might be dead on arrival for awhile. Again, someone less tech savvy would probably this is was broken and would return it. These things should really be fixed in the future. ... show more

  • The Best Fire HD Yet
Digital Storage Capacity: 64 GB Offer Type: With Lockscreen Ads
I've had half a dozen fire hds, and this is the finest. It is fast, light as a feather, and the screen is brilliant. It also has a battery that seems to last forever. If you're getting a fire hd, get this one. Most highly recommended.

  • Wrll made and very useful
Digital Storage Capacity: 128 GB Offer Type: Without Lockscreen Ads
The kindle fire 11 and the additinal oan and keyboard (purchase seperately, but worth it) is like having a very portable, small laptop with me all the time. Be sure to get the pen and keyboard for optimum use. I have taught on this from halfway across the country, and used it in meetings for note-taking. I can find information quickly during a meeting and copy into my notes. The display is HD and beautiful. ... show more

  • They "called their shot" then hit a ground rule double ...
Digital Storage Capacity: 128 GB Offer Type: Without Lockscreen Ads
In the 1932 world series, Babe Ruth pointed at the centerfield bleachers, calling his shot. He followed that up by nailing a home rum to center field estimated to be about 490 feet. History would have been far less kind to Ruth if, instead of hitting that home run, he hit a ground rule double. We all know that when tech companies make product announcements, they are calling their shot. They are pointing at the bleachers, telling the consumers it is their fastest processor ever, best memeory and refresh rates, yada, yada, yada. The Amazon Fire Max 11 was introduced as a new, premium "productivity" tablet from Amazon. They called their shot but instead of a home run, they hit a ground rule double. It is the absolute best fire tablet ever. I have owned all of them at one time or another, and the Fire Max 11 definitely feels like a premium product conpared to it's siblings. It has a metal case, the first for an Amazon tablet. It has a faster processor, but unfortunately the storage is little different from the current models available. It has an impressive screen, with crisp clear picture quality, and its weight does not make it unweildly. As a matter of fact, I find it to be quite pleasing to hold and read, but when you use the magnetic case and keyboard (which I think are amazing) the 5:3 screen feels very cramped, which limits the productivity aspect of the device. The greatest weakness of this device is the software. The Fire OS is designed around content consumption and that is where it excels. However, if you are trying to edit Word docs on the fly or do any in-depth productivity work, the Fire OS is not up to the task. After all, it is based on Android, which is a cell phone OS (and the latest Fire OS is ver 15, with ver 16 on the horizon, while the current version of Fire OS is based on Android 11). Sure, using Android makes the tablet very user-friendly, but when you are aiming for the premium/productivity market, it just isn't up to it. I have always believed that Amazon scrimped on software, and this is no different. Their heavy mods and their very limited Appstore choices further gimp what could have been a very respectable device. If I were able to wave a magic stylus and change this device, I would change the screen ratio so that it didn't feel so cramped in "productivity mode" (which is what I call using the keyboard). I would add the ability to use the stylus to annotate documents when reading in "reading mode" (portrait, handlheld mode). When it comes to content consumption, this tablet shines ... because it is first of all a content consumption device and not a productivity device. So in the final analysis, Amazon, you called your shot, and to your credit you didn't whiff, but you didn't hit the home run you intended. Take your base. ... show more
