I bought this for my Grandfather for Fathers Day. He suffers from memory loss and doesn't like socializing and going out to places often anymore. I got this so my Grandmother can keep in touch with him via drop-in and reminders. It works like a charm. Camera quality is clear. Alexa works fantastic. Only thing I don't like is the touchscreen. You need to double tap and sometimes it lags. It's not that bad of an issue since it's also voice operated.

Love! I love this way more then expected. I actually have bought the kids version for my daughter's room and will by 2 more. The Alexa app is so easy and honestly this does way more then I even use it for. I was really impressed with the Alexa capabilities, I want to buy the lights bulbs and plug in. They all tie nicely together.

The picture size is great. I had an echo show 5 in my bedroom which I moved to the kitchen so I can finally listen to music. Yah! I am not really happy about the echo show 8's interaction with me. It doesn't have the ability to do some of the things the echo 5 does. I like the news to rotate with my pictures and the weather but it can't do it. I've tried to learn how to operate it from the alexa app, but It is unclear how to do it. I'm frustrated with it but, oh well! It does sound pretty good and the display is great. I bought one that was refurbished and didn't realize that it didn't come with an adapter so it ended up costing me a much a a new one.

8/13/25: I have had this since 7/30 and so far so good. I like the screen and the sound is good. Not that its the fault of the echo but I have asked Alexa a couple questions lately that are wrong! I asked today what time would it be in 14hours and it gave me the answer for 12hours! I did call it out and it adjusted but this was the 2nd time its gotten something wrong so dont take its word. I did return a echo 5 that functions were horrible. I hope that this one is better

It doesn’t even work. It produces absolutely zero sound. Got this one because it was bundled with the stand and the new one wasn’t. What a ripoff. Now I have to wait for them to pick it back up, refund me, and then order a new one if I choose to do so and wait for that to come
