This chair stopped working and I can’t seem to find anyone to help. The charge begins as normal then just shuts itself off. This is like the fourth chair I have had to buy for my brother and it’s hard for me to get them to him in the nursing home!

Was looking to replace a 3 yr old Rubicon that simply started falling apart (the arms cannot take the stress of using them to rise out of the chair). This chair seems to be a newer, better upgrade to that. Better covering for back / seat (washable as opposed to thin cloth over thin foam). Traditional recharge plug into the controller. The arms seem to have stronger support and mechanisms to handle the stress of use. And have the added benefit of being opened to move out of the way if someone needs to use a slide board or similar to get into the chair. The removable battery is a nice touch as well. In case you want to keep the chair in the car but charge the battery in the house. The springs on the leg and seat look like they would be nice addition. Just not sure if helpful. We use an old Jazzy Passport with inflated wheels for sidewalk and rough terrain use. The solid plastic wheels of the Rubicon and this one are hard on the back. Always plan to use a seat cushion. We like seat cushion B00CVYOAUY found here. Clearly a very new product just out of the factory. Manual is in Chinese. But they did supply loose 8.5x11" BW printed pages of their English form of the planned printed manual. Will primarily use this as an in-house one now and leave the near end-of-life Rubicon in the car for use in restaurants and stores. Not meant for as easy / quick folding like the Rubicon or Jazzy. You have to reach way under the chair and snap off a small snap lock to fold. Likely easy to forget to lock it after opening also. The other chairs auto lock after opening. And have easy reach, identifiable unlock mechanism. This chair does seem to be 1-2" narrower than the Rubicon (16" instead of 18"). So anyone with any weight or size will likely not fit in it. UPDATE: After a few months, we are very pleased. The wheel brakes are very solid. As are the arms. We are buying a second one to leave in the car and simply trash the 3 year old Rubicon.

"It came full assembled! Overall the chair is wonderful! Because it’s new, I have issues with opening and closing but that’s because of my weakness not the chair itself. It’s still pretty heavy for me to lift. Since I have weakness in my legs, I have to lean on my car to pull it out which can be a bit challenging. Again me not the chair. Overall the chair is wonderful! I’m happy I’m able to travel now without someone having to push me with my old wheelchair. It has given me some freedom! I would definitely purchase again if necessary. It is easy to maneuver and goes really fast at the high speed so be careful! I did add a pillow to the back for support bc your back is against the rods on the back of the chair, which was uncomfortable. But I really like the chair a lot. And that you can remove the battery to charge instead of bringing the whole chair in the house. Don’t leave the battery and charger in the car at all. That’s just for safety as well as the battery not being damaged. Thank you for making this chair! You have truly helped ppl like me with disabilities feel more free!! ❤️ Sending gratitude from North Carolina!"
