    • Maybe I'm too much of a fan-boy for this review to be legit.
Love these little guys. Having a bulb that fits in the E12 fixture will make it so that I can put Lifx everywhere in the house. I got enough for a single chandelier in our house (6) and installed them. I had no problems setting them up (unlike some of the reviews I have read here). I have had problems with some of the lights I've purchased from Lifx before, but never to the point that I had to return. With that being said, I turned all of them on and they worked right away. The candle flicker is very cool and the Lifx app's Animate Theme is great for background lighting. While I have given 5 stars in the review, I do wish that they were a little brighter. Lifx DOES say that they are for decoration and not for functional light so be warned. I am a fan of having very bright light when I want it and the BR30s and A19s are barely bright enough. Anyways, these little guys put off a lot of light and I imagine that will be sufficient for most people. But if you are using them as the only source of light in a room, you might need to consider purchasing additional bulbs to add lumens or adding other sources of light to the room. Some other feedback that I think Lifx will address in time is next. I'd like to be able to control the individual zones on the bulb (similar to other multi zone lights from Lifx). Currently I can't find a way to do that. Also, having theme animations or some kind if Effect going tends to stop after a while. I think this has to do with the app (Lifx app) than the bulbs themselves and since I like running themes on these little bulbs with animation a lot. Lastly, and this is critical of the app, I'd like to be able to alter the color of the candle flicker fire effect. I run D&D games for friends in our house and having different color fire would be awesome. Suffice to say, Lifx will probably get these things fixed in an update to their app soon. I did feel that they helped other customers know what they are getting into. I have cash laying here for when they are available again so I can get another chandelier done in our house.     • The bulbs are great, but there are caveats to consider. Read for the best experience!
The bulbs are actually really good. The problem is with the software, pretty much all around. As an example, if you’re used to the LIFX software, you would be familiar with the reading tone. We used this setting more than any other with our other LIFX bulbs. The problem is that the hue is a complete mismatch with our other bulbs on the same software setting. The bulb can perfectly replicate this hue, but you will have to configure a custom setting for an exact match. It’s very frustrating, and so was adoption...which is definitely different than as other LIFX bulbs. It’s as though there are completely different mismatched teams working on separate bulbs. It’s really odd, and I expect better from an ultra-premium bulb. ... show more

    • Fun and functional
You can use these with the Amazon echo, or your Apple HomePod I have them on both in my house and with six outside candlelight bulbs. It’s nice to be able to change colors with the holidays and other seasons not to mention brightness and turn it on and off from anywhere at any time. These larger lightbulbs have been around forever, but if you have a chandelier, these would be amazing in it.     • Very Unique Bulb with lots of Options!
Mainly I was looking for a Smart LED bulb that had a "flame/candle" effect. This bulb has it and so many other options! Really cool features. The app was a bit difficult to navigate at first but easy after getting the hang of it.

I was really excited to hear that LIFX released there new candelabra multicolored changing light bulbs. Do to customer reviews here, I do agree that the brightness of these bulbs were not as bright compared to Phillips Candelabra color & white changing light bulbs which I use most. It turns out for my creative expectations, it worked out perfectly for my frosted glass Ikea Grono lamps for my black Ikea workstation desk to give it a beautiful colorful modern memorizing look that works perfectly along with my other lights in perfect harmony. My major purpose for purchasing these great light bulbs is to use the ability to paint light on bulb within the LIFX app. For certain colors when painting, some are not fully accurate do to choice of color when painting on virtual light bulb. For a first generational bulb. It’s decent enough for the money to use for creative light use in accent lamps & Ceiling Lights that work perfect with other brighter lights in rooms of home or place.     • Barely functional
Tricks you into thinking you need an account. Bulb behavior is irratic when you turn it off and on in the app and will be unresponsive to setting new effect patterns. Closing the app stops all bulb activity and reverts it to solid white light even when background activity is allowed. Effects seen in their demo video are mostly unachievable with the app. ... show more

    • Not as bright as expected for a LIFX product
The reason I'm willing to pay the premium for A19 Lifx lights is because they're noticeably brighter than the millions of other companies selling identical products. These are not very bright compared to my other candelabra LEDs.

    • Good overall but some flaws
I like this product a lot. The ability to customize the color zones al around the bulb is interesting but seems a little overkill in my opinion. I only have 1 of these, so it may be a defect with my particular bulb, but I do find that the color pre-sets do not 100% match between this bulb and my other Lifx bulbs, which is frustrating. ... show more
