  • Straightforward assembly, solid construction, and quality finish
Pattern Name: Playset Style: Adventure Tower with Spider Swing
Assembly took 8 hours, from unpacking to final placement. That was solely myself fastening every fastener with 1 assistant holding parts together to be fastened. Overall assembly can be done with about 4 tools total. (Unlike the cedar playsets which require an entire toolbox of Allen wrenches, metric wrenches, sockets, drivers etc). Of course I used my own allen driver on a 3/8 impact driver to speed things up and put less strain on my hands having to twist a million bolts with a tiny allen wrench. Overall, the fitment was OUTSTANDING with very little alignment issues. The instructions were clear and detailed. I assembled everything in a shop, assembling the tower and the swing set supports separately, and then connecting the two together at the final location using the 2 bolts required to do so. One question which I had prior to purchase and assembly is could the slide and ladder be swapped, as to put the tower on the right hand side per say, rather than the left as seen in all the photos. The answer is YES. And it's simple to do so. Both attach to the tower platform after drilling through the platform floor at pre-indicated spots. As everything is cast or formed identical, simply swap the slide and ladder and viola, the tower is on the opposite end. No pre-planning, swapping parts, etc. required. Overall, the construction is extremely sturdy. It'll hold my 250lb adult use easily. And so far, it's held up to severe weather no problem. The included ground anchors for the tower are nice! Word of caution.. if you do assemble off site, the swing set frame is relatively light but it is tall. 2 tall people can hold it above their heads and walk it to where it needs to go. The tower on the other hand is very sturdy and substantial. I ended up tipping it on its side onto a car trailer and trailering it down to where it was to be set, before uprighting it into place. Having assembled a cedar playset with an enclosed tube slide, and now this one, I'd never even consider a cedar playset... ever. This is school park / playground quality and finish. Absolutely no regrets. ... show more

  • Big and sturdy
Pattern Name: Playset Style: Adventure Tower with Spider Swing
Love that this is big and sturdy for older kids as well. My 2yo and 8mo loves it as well as my neices and nephews ages 4-16. Us adults up to 200 lbs have been all over it, the swings and slide and the thing doesn't shake or move when we swing, the spider swing is awesome we've had 4 kids at a time on it and it holds the adults well. We've had about 8 kids playing on it at a time and it's great. It took a day and a half of assembling it with 3 people. This thing will last a long time and we'll worth the money, and no maintenance as we don't have to stain it every year and the kids won't get splinters. We get strong winds with gusts up to 60mph and it hasn't gone anywhere yet. We turned underneath it into a sandbox, about 10 bags of sand fills it pretty good. The ladder is a little sketchy for my 2yo we don't let her climb alone but she's 2 1/2 now and can go up it herself but we always stand there with her in case she slips but they grow so fast that in another year or so we won't be as worried ... show more

  • ❤❤❤❤ But be prepared to work
Pattern Name: Playset Style: Adventure Tower
We researched a lot of play sets and settled on this one. So glad we did!! We live in a wooded area with lots of moisture, so wooden playsets don't tend to last more than a few years...even the treated ones. We needed something stronger. This playset has been used by children ages 2- 18. We adults think it is fun too. The kids beg to go play on "the playground". Just know in advance that it will take at least 2 people (we gladly used 3 for some steps in the assembly) and at least a full day to complete. It took us 12 hours over 2 days. The directions were very clear for the most part with assembly tools and parts labeled extremely well. Be aware that it is a must to follow every word of the instructions. There are videos as well that you can watch, but we found the written directions to be all we needed as long as we followed them to the t. All the hardwork is worth it though. We have only had it for 4 weeks, but the kids have played on it everyday! My son loves the built in city streets in the tower for his toy cars and my daughters love the swings and pretend play area under the tower. The rock climbing walls are a favorite to everyone. The youngest child to scale ours so far has been 4. It is super sturdy even with the up to 8 kids we have had on it at once. The slide is super fast though, so you need to have a playground approved landing at the bottom (we used mulch) and be prepared to give a helping hand to children 3 and under. The curved ladder is easily scaled by a 2 year old with adult supervision. The manufacturer recommended age of 3-12 is spot on I would say. We highly recommend this playset! ... show more

  • Good Quality
Pattern Name: Playset Style: Adventure Tower with Spider Swing
Good quality, once assembled we have loved it and had no issues. Assembly was somewhat time consuming, which we knew from reviews prior to buying it. It took my husband and I (he is very good at this type of thing and I'm not too bad myself) 2 full 8 hour days to put it up. Instructions were easy to follow and nothing about it was too hard (at one point you almost do need 3 people to hold things up to put together but with a few ladders we did it w 2 people), it literally is just very time consuming as there are TOOOONNNNS of pieces. However, once done it was totally worth our daughters excitement and hours of fun. Would recommend, just plan a full weekend of assembly (or find some friends to help, because as the instructions are written you could easily start on different parts of it at the same time to make assemble go faster). ... show more
