I have spent a few years looking for an accent chair to go in a corner of my bedroom. Great as it is for sleeping, my bed is extremely high, so sitting on it to put on sockets, etc. can be - well, a gymnastics feat. A friend of mine (about eight months ago) who had purchased several new chairs for the living room, den and his bedroom invited me over to try them out. Geez, I felt like I was flying coach class on an airline; when did inexpensive accent chairs get so incredibly narrow?!? I realize that I am a slightly larger guy, but it was like putting a 10lbs potato into a 5lbs bag. So I delayed actually purchasing one as I just wasn't happy - until I ran across this chair. This thing is EXTRA-wide and even has leftover space when I sit down, and that's including the two round bolsters in place! The chair (to me) is extra comfy - it is a bit firm in the seat, but that will soften the more that it is sat in. The color is neutral enough that it can go with just about any monochromatic and/or contrast color decor well; my room (in a 120+ year old house) has a lot of wood as well as dark pieces of furniture; this blended just fine. It is extremely modern in appearance, but is generic enough that it blends with multiple styles (for instance, my bed is a 150+ year old German Wedding bed, while several other pieces in the room are modern and traditional). The chair is a standard height; not too low or high to be comfortable, and deep enough to easily and comfortably sit against the back cushion while keeping feet on the floor (I am 5'11). The chair also feels extremely solid and heavy-duty; while it's rated at 250lbs, my friend (who is 275) sat in it and there were no creaks, groaning or other issues. Assembly was quick; it took me (alone) about 25 minutes to get it all together, and it comes with very clear incongraphic instructions and the wrench necessary to assemble with no additional tools required (other than a box knife to open to box). There are also nice touches; for instance, the bolts that hold the arms and bottom together have plastic caps to put on so that nothing rubs against them and punctures or tears. HOWEVER when ordering, do yourself a favor (if you don't have one) - buy a cheap 14mm deep socket (and driver, if you need that to) to assemble; using the included wrench will test your patience and sanity! All in all, I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this chair. I have the matching ottoman coming as well, but it hasn't arrived yet; will review that separately. ... show more

I'm very pleased with this chair. I got it for a great price and it was very easy to assemble. It only took about 20 minutes or so to put it together, which is great (note--they do store some of the parts in the bottom of the base of the chair, so pull back the cover on the bottom to find any remaining parts you think they forgot). I love the color of this chair--it's a mix between a peacock blue and a navy blue and it's incredibly sturdy. It comes with 2 "roll-style" pillows that sit on the base of the chair, which is a bit odd, but they appear to be more decorative than anything. You can certainly discard them if you don't like them, but i like the look of them. The chair would look great in homes with several styles, as you can add an accent pillow to the chair to tie together any look you have for your room. NOTE: this chair is wider than most accent chairs, which some people may love-just make sure if you have a small space that you're looking at the measurements so it will fit. Overall I would buy this chair again as it appears it would last for quite some time with standard use. ... show more

The box arrived and was left on my deck. It's heavy. I pushed and pulled and got it in the house. Well packaged! I found all the bits and pieces and the instructions. Straight-forward. Easy-peasy. Well, not quite. Six/6 long bolts/screws hold the sides to the base. First, thread them into the side. Done. Then align the sides and the base and push the bolts thru, into the underside of the base. Important question here: how far to thread the bolts into the base side? Instructions/drawing NOT helpful. If they are not in far enough on either end - the sides or the base, the chair will fail. Oh fun. After experimenting, I tried proportions I thought would make it solid. We shall see in a few weeks. Matching up the bolts and the holes, it's picky but I got them. Tightening the the washers and the nuts is not great since the provided wrench is a bit bigger than the nuts. For one of the bolts, the clearance for turning is smaller than the outside wrench diameter, which prevents it from fitting over the nut. Hence, loose nut. I found a plier I could use to tighten it down. Legs -perfect. Back - easy but odd. There is a fabric flap that serves no apparent purpose, but gets in the way of the metal plates matching up. Now it's done! Now I sit down! Oh, what was that sound? I weigh 143 lbs. No, seriously. When I sat down, the creaks were obvious. The six (6) bolt/screws were figuring out how to balance the weight, settling into the holes, etc. I hope they are now comfortable and happy and content, cuz I don't want them coming out! For the price I paid, I'm OK. Paying full list would not be cool. ... show more

I bought 2 of these olive green chairs and they are beautiful. They are oversized and comfortable. I find that many Amazon chairs tend to be small but these were perfect. The assembly was not bad. One of the chairs came with no instructions but the other chair came with them. So double check you received everything. As for assembly, I do recommend reading the instructions and do not over tighten. We made this mistake and had trouble with step 5. We then loosened the screws and were able to place the rear rail. For step 6 we had to tighten the screws to ensure a secure fit. Even with these little adjustments we felt that the assembly was not that difficult. The chair is a great value for the quality and style. We even looked at comprable chairs at World Market, HomeGoods, Crate and Barrel and we felt that these chairs were amazing quality for a fraction of the price. ... show more

With so many places to look for a living room chair, you would think purchasing one online would be the last place you would spend money for something where comfort, stability and true color matching is important. But here we are in the 21st century. I rely on credible and honest reviews to help me make a decision on items that you won't know will work until they are in your home. We all want to avoid the hassle of returns. So I am writing this review based on my own experience. This chair should please 99% of you. It's well built, well stitched and has a look of sophistication. I purchased 1 about a year ago and purchased 2 more about a week ago. They all were packaged well and fairly easy to assemble. Just keep in mind when sliding the back into place to slide in the right way. On one, I tried to slide it in backwards. All three look consistent and true to form. They can seat a pretty large person without looking oversized. Here's the deal on the color. It's a mix of navy blue with a hint of teal. So, just keep that in mind when choosing for color. Lifestyle Solutions Lexington Arm Chair, Navy Blue I am really impressed with this arm chair by Liftstyle Solutions Lexington. It is very well- made, and the color is a beautiful royal blue or as described, navy. The cushions are very durable with pocket coils, and hardwood frame. This is an excellent additional arm chair, and will be a lovely accent chair. It is what I would call a chair and half. It is foam filled with beautiful fabric cover. It is made in China and measures 31.1” deep x 39.8” wide x 33.5” high. Assembly instructions included and all hardware is also included. Very simple to assemble. This would be an excellent addition for a dorm room, sitting room or even a bedroom. It's very easy to care for. Just vacuum and it can be spot-cleaned with mild soap and water. It includes 4 legs and 2 arm chair attachments. It has a very comfortable padding on the chair back and has 2 small roll pillows, one for each chair end. I would highly recommend this arm chair by Lifestyle Solutions by Lexington.     • Back assembly impossible.

Chair looks great, but whoever designed and approved the back assembly should have their engineering degrees revoked. It is impossible to do, And I’m am not exaggerating - IMPOSSIBLE to slide the back in, around, near, or adjacent to the horrible little brackets they are supposed to slide in? Around? Near? Adjacent to? The sides. The instructions consist of a lame 2D drawing and some arrows. And we have tried. One person. Two people together. A third person. All college graduates who have this far been fairly successful in life and furniture assembly. All of whom were left sweaty, frustrated, and swearing. We thought we had it, but then moved the chair one foot to get it where we wanted it and the back fell down to the floor. I am now faced with engineering my own method to secure the chair, which frustrates the crap out of me because I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO. The chair looks great, and is 75% sturdy. Note that the bottom is not cushioned - it’s on springs of some sort. So it’s a little hard and bouncy, but not uncomfortable. Just done lean back. ... show more
