I live in a household with four kids under 10, five dogs, and three cats. Furniture simply doesn’t last for me. Couches last roughly two years before they are stained and smell horrible. Knowing this, and with the expenses related to the upcoming holiday season, I was not ready to go out and spend another $2k on a set of couches. I found this couch on Amazon and honestly wasn’t expecting much at all. After a discussion with my wife, we decided to give this couch a shot because we figured if it at least lasted us until the new year (three months), it would be worth it. The couch arrived within a week and was delivered by UPS. When we first saw the box sitting on our front porch, we were a little worried that this thing was going to be incredibly small. We took the 100lb box into our living room and opened it up. We were both immediately impressed of how they fit all the pieces of the couch in the small box. Additionally, everything was wrapped and well protected. Assembling the couch was straight forward. No tools were required, but it did take two people to put the couch together. I suppose one person could put it together, but two people will make the assembly process a lot easier, and sturdier. Assembly took about ten minutes. The first impressions of the couch were very positive. The couch was bigger then the box suggested (it’s still relatively small), the microfiber feels a lot better than what we were expecting, and the overall appearance of the couch makes it look like it cost a lot more than what we paid for it. One of the biggest surprises with this couch is the fact that the back fabric and the fabric on the bottom of the couch are secured by velcro and not staples. Unless you have messy people living in your house, you won’t understand how big of a deal this is. If the black fabric on the bottom is stapled, it is impossible to ever get all the crumbs, crayons, and other nasty garbage out of the couch that finds its way down there without ripping away the fabric. The cushions are all attached to the couch, but stuff can still fall down between the back of the couch and the bottom cushions. The couch is also relatively light and slides easily on laminate flooring. Compared to heavier couches, this makes cleaning under the couch super easy. Now instead of only moving the couch once a month to clean under it, we move it every time we clean the living room. As for how comfy the couch is, it is a bit firm, but I enjoy it. The arms of the couch do not have much padding, so a couple throw pillows will help out immensely. I am 6’1”, 165 lbs and have not problem laying on the couch. As such, it is the perfect size for me, my kids, or pets. If there is one problem with this couch, it would be that it is anything but “dark grey” on color. Honestly, after a month I still don’t know how to describe the color. It’s more of a blue, or perhaps green, depending on the light. It didn’t match the dark grey laminate flooring, but we have grown to actually like the color. In conclusion, we weren’t expecting much. We were very surprised with the quality of the couch and are in the process of acquiring the matching chairs and loveseat. For less than the price of one traditional sofa, we will have a complete living room seat. It’s amazing, actually. The only thing that would make the Harrington collection better is if they made matching ottomans for the chairs. 6 MONTH UPDATE; The kids have stained the couch with an assortment of nasty stains, but the couch itself is still holding together as good as the day we put it together. This is really something considering I have a three year old and a four year old that are constantly jumping on it. While there are stains, there are no rips in the fabric. We moved to the USA, bought a house, bought two cars, and had basically no USA credit. Thus, we needed to find a sofa set on an extremely limited budget. We are planning to use the sofa set for 1-2 years total. This sofa set seemed to fit the bill so we went for it. This is not the highest quality or best looking sofa set that exists. Yet, we are quite happy with our purchase. Positives: For the price I am very happy. We have had this sofa set for approximately two months now and they still look brand new. They were easy to set up (5-7 minutes for my wife and I), easy to clean (only one spill so far - beer - but it was a cinch and there is no lingering smell), the sofa is light and thus simple to move as needed. When they arrived I was able to move the box by myself from the front porch into the living room. I imagine this was actually a big deal for some people (such as myself - big problem if I couldn't move the box). Negatives: First, these are cheap. They do not look expensive but they are not ugly. Just don't expect to "show off" using these sofas. Next, they are small. Far too small for my taste or size (6'2" 195lbs). It would be great in a small city apartment, but in a large home they do look too small and I cannot stretch out properly. Third, these sofas are light (good and bad to this). The sofas stay against the walls without moving, but when we had them placed away from the wall they moved very easily due to how light they are. The picture shows the sofa not against a wall. Do not plan on this. They need to be against a wall or they will move all over the place. In conclusion, if you want a decent looking sofa that is entirely functional for 1-2 years and/or you live in a smallish apartment then these are a perfect choice. If you are seeking a long-term solution (5+ years) and/or want to "show off" then these are not for you. For me, these are awesome for now. Maybe in 1-2 years I will purchase a new sofa set. I was LIVID when, after the arduous yet satisfying feat of assembling this couch on my own (something I do not recommend), and after taking a deserved rest on said couch for perhaps 20 minutes, I stood up and realized the cushion had shifted to make a permanent dent. I'm not a tiny human, but I'm also well below the weight bearing limit of this couch. When I stood up and saw my moderately-sized peach left a dent in the cushion 20 minutes after I finished assembly, I was angered and disappointed. No amount of coaxing or fluffing has been able to fix it. I've had to cover the couch with a blanket to hide the unsightly dent. And that's sad because I actually do like the upholstery. Is it a $250 or so couch? Yes? Was I expecting a Boca do Lobo for my meager purchase? No. But come on... it looks like this right away? Sad. I can't even say buying something that deforms immediately is worth the money, no matter how cheap it is. I quite literally just laid down for a little bit, and my arse left a permanent mark. Ordered because we needed a new couch and I didn't want to spend a grand on another couch that would only last a few years. It was $250 shipped to my door when I got 9 months ago. Assembly was pretty easy. I liked it at first because you can't sink into and it felt like it had better support than the last couch. The cushions are quite thin, so what I thought was support is more of a lack of padding. I like that the cushions don't come out and aren't deep because it's difficult to lose stuff in it, but that's about where the positives end. Decorative stitching on the cushions started falling out after several months. Thin cushions can't be fluffed (nothing to fluff inside them anyways). Not great. If you want a couch more for entertaining or just filling a space, this will do. It is not very comfy for lounging on. This isn't something to plop down on after a long day if you just want to max relaxation and zone out to a movie. I slept on it once it twice and it was OK because I like a firm mattress, but it's only about as wide as a camping cot and not a great napping couch unless you're a toddler. If you need something and you want it cheap, this will do. But after about 6-7 months my wife started hinting that we should get a new couch. After 9 months she started stealing my chair and forcing me to sit on the couch because I told her we weren't getting a new couch so soon. After a few weeks of only sitting on the couch, I am looking for a new one. Fine for kids or a spare room, but not something that will work long term for a family. ... show more

I bought the full set of three couches for my first rental home. They were all extremely easy to assemble and I finished all of them together in under an hour, the longest part was just the unpackaging. I did accidentally misalign one of the brackets, but it was an easy fix. These are very sturdy couches once assembled correctly, so if your couch is shaking then you might have missed a bracket like I did. Also, a lot of people are worried about the color, which I can agree it's a little bit of a strange blue-ish grey color when you have other greys to reference it to, but I have no problem with it. Third image from left to right is: light grey, true grey, true dark grey, and black for color reference. The couches are definitely firm but not uncomfortable at all. You get what you pay for, but I would say it's worth it if you needed furniture like I did. Also worth mentioning that I am 5ft7in and these couches were basically build for someone my size, if you are any taller or any shorter you might have a different experience with the couch than I. The couches are the perfect height and length for my body: when sitting my knees are at a perfect right angle with my feet squarely on the ground; when laying on this large couch I fit perfectly between the headrests from head to toe. At this price point (USD$268.00) I can genuinely recommend these as good couches compared to others in the budget struggle range. Just received my couch today after ordering it two days ago, gotta love that Prime shipping. Unfortunately I had to unbox it outside at the bottom of the stairs to my apartment and carry it piece by piece because I woke up as the UPS guy was driving off, was gonna try and tip him to help me carry it up, but oh well. I did it. Assembled it in like 20 minutes, longer than others but I like to double check everything when I'm assembling something. The cushions are very firm. I don't mind it too much but others might so just a heads up. The backrest is very soft though. It has an odd smell but that'll eventually get replaced by my smell. Luckily it arrived with no damages, and all the correct pieces. Little thing that kinda bothered me is the back of the couch is not straight like in the pictures, if you attach the velcro you can see the slant of it. Not a big deal, just different than what was pictured. It honestly feels pretty sturdy, I'm sure it wouldn't appreciate if you weigh 230lbs like me and plop down on it with all your weight but I've also rarely seen a couch that does, but I did grow up poor so maybe rich people have better couches but then again, if you're buying this couch then maybe don't compare it to rich people couches cuz that ain't you currently.
