We have used theese heaters lasts for years on low setting only 800 watts and keeps fan low setting to allow heat stay low cuz heat rises.n keeps room warm .best part is thermostat that kicks on n off as needed.to temp you set..heat a small house with only 3 heaters saves a lot because of gas prices .important keep the fan n setting on low as high makes fan run on high blows heat n cools it I noticed .warning :fan continues to cool heat elements for a bit after burners shut off .therefore if is running and wush to turn off just adjjust the temp down so it will do that n then when fan shuts off you can turn heater off but never turn off while burners are heating only after thy have been cooled down by fan first.to not burn up your elements or wires.i noticed the fan stayed running awhile also blows remainining heat the element holds into your room at same time..I accidently shut off while running n was bad smell n it taught me to wait till fan kicks off n unit not running before i shut switch off.never smelled hot again. ... show more

We ordered this for a little sitting room we have. It arrived earlier than it was supposed to and it was packaged nicely. It's a sturdy unit, built well. The fan is a little loud but it heats the room pretty good and it's easy using the remote. We love it! Edit: the thermostat doesn't seem to work.

I own the Lifesmart 28.6", which I really like, which is the color advertised in the photo color here, which comes in light oak color, as seen here in the photo. But there is no oak color, next color is medium oak; this one is exactly that: Medium oak. When you open the box - what a shock, as it appears walnut color, and the box calls it medium oak. So this ad and photo are misleading. I sent mine back because of the walnut color. I was trying to match the same color of my 28.6" to the 23.6" as seen here called oak color, as both advertise color as oak; NOT SO. If you want walnut color order this one! ... show more
