I like this fireplace but I have tried two remotes now and neither one works. It will change the color of the flame, but won't turn on the unit and won't turn the heat on and off. Also, the buttons on the unit itself are not easy to use. You have to make a concerted effort to get the buttons to work. Not impossible or even that bad, just not great. I wish the remote would work. It definitely is the biggest draw back and disappointment.

Have you ever had a long time crush on someone you have never actually met but you frequently see on your way to work or class etc? then one day, you actually meet and have a small conversation with that person - you know that feeling you get as your attraction to them lessens more and more as you learn more about them? yeah, its kind of like that with this heater. the heater is attractive. ive had it a week now and it certainly has caught the attention of visitors - great conversation starter. It definitely feels warmer in the room while it is on.. strong heat flow but only comes out one small vent located at the top of the unit . the unit is heavier than I expected and it is much wider than I realized so if you hang it, it will stick out quite a bit from the wall. Perhaps it is just me but I dont really get the “ crystals” thing - I think they cheapen the look of the heater - crystals give it a “swap meet” kind of look. I know I can buy a much better quality heater for the same price (about $150) . It wont be as attractive perhaps but like people, beauty does not last forever and then what are you left with? I have yet to decide if the heater stays or if I will be returning it. If it stays, I am going to have to buy a second heater ( small and cheap ) to help this heater heat the room more efficiently. im not sure how this item qualifies as touch screen? great for small rooms with low ceilings. if your ceilings are high, this wont work as well. if you lose the remote control you are not screwed, you can still operate the heater manually.

The directions to put together a bit too simple, but after a couple of emails back-and-forth with customer service that has been absolutely amazing I’m fairly happy with the look of this fireplace, the only reason of the four stars over all I have a studio that is about 600 square feet and it does not really hit up as much the remote control. Unfortunately it is controlling some other of my appliances lol but other than that I am very happy with this.

Aesthetically pleasing. Positives was price. Another positive is the temp control and fan control. Three negatives two of which are big. First negative the heat fan vent is in the wrong place. The vent is on top meaning the hot air goes up and not out. It should be on the front or bottom front. It will not heat a room more than 200sq ft otherwise. Second issue not very mobile. You have to give it a bear hug to carry it. There are not handles. Third issue is very small, but no sound. That could be a plus. Overall it is an ok machine. Fix the fan location and you have a great machine. Fix all of the little issues, you would have an ideal machine.
