I read all of the reviews before purchasing this and found it to be even better than often described. I have thick /heavy grass in a yard that was previously a meadow, and these clippers go right through it, no problem. I've also used it during fall cleanup to cut down hostas, Lady's Mantle, nepata and other perennials and it's been great and a real time (and hand) saver! It's lightweight, easy to use and the battery seems to last for hours and recharges quickly.

So - I am a horrible weed eater. I end up cutting down my plants. Anyway... I don't have a lot to weed eat so I thought this would be better. AND it is. Works easy... the battery seems to be efficient. It truthfully does not feel like it is going to last a long time. But I kind of wanted to try out this less expensive model before investing more. So far so good. Even though it means I have to get down and crawl around with it - at least I have control and am not chopping down plants I am trimming around. :-)

These clippers zip through the tall grass my husband leaves when he mows around my ornamentals and edges. They are so much more fun to use than grass hand shears. I have arthritis in my fingers and the constant squeezing of the manual models makes my hands ache. Battery life is amazingly long--90+ minutes which is when I get bored or tired anyway. They also easily clip back my azaleas and other twiggy shrubs after blooming. The directions warn against getting dirt in the blades, but I even use them when I am in a hurry to weed; they shear off weeds at ground level. My only complaint is that changing blades is time consuming and confusing at first.
